Re: Luke Brooks

I sincerely hope that when Luke agrees to a new contract he is made Vice/Caption for 2019 with the promise that he is caption from 2020 onwards. Chris Lawrence deserves to be caption for 2019. I strongly think that Brooks would struggle as a Captain . I’d rather have him concentrating on his job at...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

If we have to rely on Reynolds to get us in the eight, we can feel free to go ahead and book our holidays for The weeks after the the last round then.
we won’t be doing much else. 😄

Re: Luke Brooks

:dead g Pretty short odds he stays. Who knows what he and Maguire have talked about over the last couple weeks. It’s natural they would want to meet each other before Brooks makes a decision. Hopefully the meeting is just a formality. I don't know why , but I'm really concerned now In past seasons h...

Re: AGENDA 21

It wasn't the govt that gave away our industries it was big business that wanted to put everything offshore and pay slave wages to third world workers instead of maintaining jobs in Australia. It still continues with Telcos and banks having call centres in Asia and India. You can blame BHP for Newc...

Re: Kids Footy

As I said , I only heard the end of a conversation.
Actually, I do remember a mention of non contact for young kids a short time ago. Unless they intend to make it like touch,
I think it would be a backlash it that’s what they intend.

Re: Luke Brooks

I don't agree that Teddy actually took his game to another level at all, he's always been superb in my eyes. Just look at who he's playing for. He's playing for the team who recruits the cream of the crop, of the NRL. So is surrounded by high quality players. I was offended how he apparently only l...

Re: Kids Footy

Has any one heard any thing about the juniors playing non tackle Up to 9 years old, next year? I heard the end of a conversation on radio on the Coast earlier tonight, but wasn’t sure that was what they were talking about, but it sounded like that’s what they were referring to.. Not sure whether it ...

Re: How Much Interest Do You Have In The NRL?

A lot not liking rhe inequality, but it’s no worse than it was years back. theres alwaysbeen clubs that have stayed near the top, and others that have stayed near the bottom for long periods, Look at Saints, manly Parra the Dogs years back, they all had long periods where sucess was the norm ,and sid...

Re: How Much Interest Do You Have In The NRL?

Don’t watch it as much as I did a couple of years ago, used to watch every game that I Could. Still try to see all our games, but if I miss one now, It doesn’t bother me like it would have. Try to watch whatever looks to be the top one each week if possible. TBH, am watching more and more junior leag...

Re: Maguire feels he's a better coach after gap year

Lots of talk That's media and publicity.. Good for the club Let’s hope he can Coach He's won a couple of comps I wonder if he even knows what he’s in for Do you know what he's in for? Does anyone? What happens tomorrow? Course I dont! But my expectancy is always pretty low. I 've learned not to exp...

Re: Will we make the 8 in 2019?

If our next two signings are walk up start top 13 players we have a good chance, but if they are journeymen I think we will probably slip a peg or two. Hard to imagine a team with so many players close to the end of their careers doing to much damage. Once again 2020 could be very different Pretty ...

Re: Hayne plane

:| Meh Yep , as long as the price was right, I’d love to see him here, at least he knows where the tryline is , and geez we need someone like that he’s still fast we’ve only got one centre, and he’s likely to end up in theback row at some time. With Hayne here at least we might have a genuine chanc...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

I agreeish. I think Bennett probably was the best on the market, we just don't know if Newcastle Bennett or St George Bennett will turn up at Souths. McGuire seems to have a stack of grit, knows our players and gets us a pipeline to Souths. Can someone explain how McGuire is like Jason Taylor as a ...
