Re: Kevin Naiqama capable of captaining Wests Tigers in NRL, says Aaron Woods

I guess what Woodsie says about whats happening at Wts is as relevent as what Reynolds says about the Bulldogs and whats happening there in regard to the old coach and the new coach. No issue with either - and I expect their new clubs would expect them to field questions like that from the media lea...

Re: Mitchell Pearce

Pearce/ Cherry Evans - who runs the team? Both great players on their day. Will be interesting to see how they go together.

Re: Nathan Cleary

Brooks is frustrating - because he has all the skills just not the smarts. Playing on instinct is fine if you are smart but if not much is going on upstairs - disastrous. Not sure how Luke prepares himself for games but something in his approach has to change. Maybe Benji is exactly what he needs.

Re: MOSES,CLEARY & FARAH - join forces for Lebanon

I am glad we kept Brooks because to me you can't change temperament and Moses will always be about Moses whereas this year we've seen Brooks' mature as a player. When I first moved into management, a wise person advised me to hire people based on attitude rather than skillset. You can teach skills ...

Re: Taane Milne (official)

His game is similar to a rugby inside centre. I think he may have played in the Aust Schoolboys Rugby. I think had a rugby background at Newington college, than Aust schoolboys, than Easts u20s,than Dragons...but not 100% sure. Anyway I said when we signed him he could be the best of all our signing...

Re: Nathan Cleary

Everyone is seeing this as tigers chasing Nathan? I see it is Ivan trying to secure his next contract. The tigers coaching role has been very hostile for the last hal of a decade. If tigers go ok and the possibility of grabbing an in form half, as well as a possible retirement of Bellamy and also B...

Re: Nathan Cleary

As great as it would be I just cant see it happening, simply because of the human factor. Anyone who has a father son relationship where authority is involved will understand the challenges, and while both Ivan and Nathan seem extraordinarily close, there are great risks not only for them but also t...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Speaking of beasts, I find I am repeating myself from an earlier post but nonetheless, I definitely want the club to do something about bringing back Ben Murdoch-Masila. I have watched him closely during this World Cup and he has been a major destroyer against the weaker teams. Then I watched him a...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I love Kevvie, and he has always got a good game in him ... but I think we have been down this path before. He is good player to have around as a replacement with what appears to be a great attitude.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Yep - and I hope our recruitment dept is doing the same. Or we can take the high road and convince ourselves that the bad :role model " tag is a good reason for not being able to sign quality players like our stronger opposition clubs do. Twisting my words does not change the fact that players are ...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

It takes more than being good at sport to be considered a role model particularly when the group of people you are referrimg to are often not much older than kids themselves. Young men will all mostly make mistakes and social media gives a forum for all those who have short memories to go hell for ...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Great squad the Sharks have assembled and I am on the side of smart move to get Moylan. Should they also get Pearce -and surely if they have got the room he will be interested then - whatever and however they have done it - to turn that club around and survive the drug scandal well I hope we are tak...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

I'm so glad we didn't end up with Moylan....We don't need to spend $900k on a player to fill the 5/8 or FB positions given the recruitment of Tui and Reynolds...Spend some of the money saved on Crichton....or maybe Aloai could become our version of Crichton in 2018. It will be a long time before we...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Well it seemed a given - but at some point if we are ever going to be serious contenders we need to be attracting the Moylans/Maloneys whether you like them or not, and regardless what you think they are worth. Or we can keep supporting players retirement funds.

Re: Mitchell Pearce

If Cronulla and Easts still have cap room to offer Crichton and Hayne respectively, we must have about three million left in our cap. That's what I was thinking too. Reportedly our highest paid player is Reynolds ($750k) followed by Packer ($650k) and yet by all accounts we only have $800k or so le...
