Re: Manly Salary cap issue

TPA's must have NRL approval now...I don't know what people don't get...the legal one's are fine ..a player has a right to earn off their own brand/image.. The dodgy one's alleged here at Manly and at Parra in 2015 are not..would not have been registered with the NRL..hence the BREACH notices.. A l...

Re: The Ashes

We dont want all rounders, they are con artists. Unless your name is Jacques Kallis or Garfield Sobers. Today's "allrounder" is a con artist who is average at everything so they declare themselves to be something to help them fit in. Very few are successful because its a BS title. I'm agreeing, bas...

Re: Mitch Moses being watched by NRL

Has to be Moses, surely. Tim Mannah is a humble bloke, I imagine he wouldn't suffer someone with a big ego for too long. Shaun Johnson has been around forever, I'm sure we all would've seen his ego before this and Cronk hasn't even got to the Roosters yet. Plus he and Cordner have played together i...

Re: NRL agrees to review third-party agreements in a bid to end salary cap rorting

PR exercise. Never undertake a review or form a committee unless you know what the outcome will be.

In the fine print, you'll read that the terms of reference have been developed by those clubs who have the most TPAs. :D

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

From the The Mole ...... The Bulldogs are considering medically retiring Greg Eastwood after the Kiwi international forward underwent surgery for an irregular heartbeat last week. The club is desperately trying to free up money in the salary cap to sign a halfback and question marks over Eastwood’s...

Re: The Ashes

That's why I hope they don't serve up another highway like they did against the Kiwis in Perth, that was absolute garbage that pitch. The point I make on Maxi Paws is that he's maturing as a player in the longer form of the game. Even if it was only a Shield game, you don't score 200 odd if you don...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Malcolm Turnbull has been a bigger disappointment than Adam Blair at the WT's As hard as it is to say , Stryker was right , he said he'd be a flop and was on the mark Proof again that the right man/woman isn't necessarily the right man/woman to lead the country Turnbull always stood for nothing exc...

Tim Grant saying that while he would like to return to Penrith he remains fully committed to us for the coming season.
It sounds like he is putting himself on the market?

Re: The Ashes

Maxwell was in form when he was dropped and is still in form presently. In form in what type of cricket? He is a product of the short form of the game. This is quite different to test of your batting technique and temperament experienced in test cricket. Can you envisage Maxell being able to demons...

Re: Manly Salary cap issue

We've had a couple of busts due to so called whistle blowers, where the NRL has no option but to act or be severely embarrassed. If ever an area of the game needed reform it is TPAs but for obvious inner eastern city reasons, this will never happen.

Re: The Ashes

It's OK, we're looking to make it easier for them by playing Mitch "walking wicket" Marsh. yep. Mitch Marsh is simular to Watson/Maxwell . Can Bowl and can Bat but rarely get it together at Test level... Watto Lotto threw the spanner in the works after his 15 6's v Mosman on the weekend Big deal, h...

If Sue doesn't have a big 2018 he might be at the stop waiting for a connecting bus I think his Opal has expired Towards the end of the year, Cleary was utilising Sue and Josh A in such a way as to benefit the team most. Sue is an impact player best used in short bursts while Josh's power running g...

Re: Manly Salary cap issue

Nine reporting two former players have turned whistle-blowers to out Manly. No prizes for guessing the identity of one.
