Re: **Live Game Thread**

For me , massive call not starting with Rowdy We were playing crash ball footy and the best in our side at running a great line at speed was sitting on the bench Any thoughts of re-signing the elder statesmen has to be seriously rethought about after tonight All that experience and no control , no ...

Re: Marshall and Farah

I am amazed. About everyone in the team made a blunder except Farah. When he was taken off they failed to get a kick away on the fifth, the try they achieved had little to do with the DH I think, but their first try the DH was involved (RF). I am happy whatever he decides to do but he was far from ...

I wish the bottom 8 could have play-offs. Keep us interested in the NRL for at least another month.
I was thinking the same thing. You win you are out. Losers carry on and when it gets to the last 2, the loser gets the spoon.

Re: How will the Top 8 finish

Unlikely to include us so who cares?

Am weighing up whether to watch the finals, or tip a bucket of paint on the front lawn. I can then watch paint dry on grass while it grows.

Am not sure which will be more interesting, but watching union is close behind

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

We use five times or more energy per capita than people in India and China, even without much manufacturing industry. So until each of them use even half the amount as us, we have absolutely no right to b**** and moan about them. Is that an accurate picture? How much pollution and greenhouse gases ...

Re: Forward analysis

Saw an old game on Fox the other day that had Packer running hard and needing multiple players to bring him down.

Great post contact metres and quick play the balls.

Have not seen that this year unfortunately

Well this thread has taken an interesting turn!! My error was not uploading the comments from NRL.com but I don’t know how. So I’m happy for this to become a bag Bellamy thread BUT my intention was to point out that Bellamy’s longevity at Melbourne has enabled him to creat and embed a culture of su...

Re: dally m awards

The Dally Ms use to be run by the telegraph. The NRL took over a year or two ago and cleaned up a rule of the rules to eliminate bias. It's still just one voter per game though right? Very subjective. Every game has multiple media and others watching. Poll 5 or 10 of them and get a consensus Even i...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Electricity prices have gone through the roof which has cost the country its manufacturing industries. Meanwhile other countries use our natural resources to deliver cheap power (without any targets to meet) to industry with the products sold back to us. Go nuclear, we have the resources to support ...

Re: Craig Bellamy comments

Was it along the lines of if you bend the rules enough, the rules will change?

This only works if you a a one town team where the NRL is desperate to keep fans engaged. The rest of the teams are merely cannon fodder
