Re: The Contenders: Hooker

i want our points to come off the back of defence. i've had ET starting at 9 since the start of off season and even though he's not mentioned here i'd say cleary is thinking the same way. then ET can replace Eiso at lock. That may be a chance. Was surprised to read that our attack last year was 2nd...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Stock market could only rise really , it was low for a long time , tax cuts will do that short term as it will also help manufacturing I suppose when you are trying to pick wars with every country known to Man , you'll need to up the armed forces , thus the increase in employment and again you drop...

Re: The Contenders: Hooker

I think that this is an area we need to look to recruit in. McIllwrick offers little in attack, has average DH service, and can even be shaky in defence when fatigued. Liddle has more of an upside, but may not be durable enough to handle the full load at this point. ET will defend the middle of the ...

Wait until week 5 before placing your bets....

Remember who we have for the first 5 weeks. next year
Bad move. Once we have won 3 or 4 of those games, we will be less than 12/1

Re: The Contenders: Five-Eighth

They struggle to talk up any reason that Pita Godinet should be picked other than, "will certainly provide great cover at fullback, hooker and either position in the halves". In other words if the bus crashes and 20 players are unavailable, he might get picked somewhere. I still cannot understand wa...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

It might just be laziness in terms of the club providing a realistic update, but there is an article on NRL.com around pre-season injuries (https://www.nrl.com/news/2017/12/12/2018-nrl-pre-season-casualty-ward/). For the tigers it lists both Suli & Liddle's recovery time as indefinite, which is conc...

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas to all. Wait until he gets a bit older CB. My 5 year old was up by 4:30 wanting to rip into the pressies.

She was passed out by 6:00 in the evening & I had to carry her up to bed.

Re: Tigers legend backtracks to welcome Benji home

Surprised he didn't mention about how much his nephew loved the club and would have re-signed for what benji is on & wonk, wonk, wonk.

I wish he would just disappear. Doesn't he have a mining company to send bankrupt, or shareholders to rip off?

Re: Why new Shark Seumanufagai left the Tigers

Yes, that us against everything, the world is against us etc., etc. can only be kept up for so long. Ricky Stuart cultivates the same "culture" and have a look at how that goes. Flanagan is his mini me. Don't forget he got a 1 year holiday for overseeing a performance enhancing drug regime at the cl...

Re: Wests Tigers Centre of Excellence

Can we set up an entity to develop this space who can then pay TPAs to our players to advertise its benefits to the community?

Did they have to agree to a west connex smoke stack running through the middle? Concord is a very short sighted decision

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Why don’t the NRL&RLPA combine and have all TPAs paid into a pot. It could then be split between all players with the NRL assigning players to corporate events, and the CBA detailing the amount of time that players can devote to third party sponsors

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Who is Crichton's manager? One of those still under investigation for illegal deals at Melbourne and Parramatta. Hell will freeze over before the NRL do anything proactive around cheating the cap. Next club caught should be forced to pay the players full value, while they are stood down from playing...

Re: Crichton to roosters

It is like when the papers justified how they can sign Cronk with 7 of the top 30 simply listed as Wyong Roos for 600k. They must all be on TPAs as the minimum NRL contract is more than 100k

Re: Crichton to roosters

So the NYC players (Watson and Nikorima) that left were on 400k, Gordon was the subject of charity paid 300k despite no one else wanting him, but Cordner is on less than 500k, Napa & JWH on 300 or less and Mitchell, Manu, Tupou and Takieaho on less than 200.
