Re: 2010 v 2011

I think the best team won in 2010. We were a close second, but the Dragons deserved to win the comp that year. We win that roosters game 99 times out of 100, and had a few other things go against us (Payten going down), but still came up only a few cm short. I thought we were the best team come Sept...

If true, this is a great pickup. He was having a great year until his injury mid-season.
Will fill a massive hole on the right edge.

Just on any announcements, I doubt we’ll see any today given the news cycle is full of origin selection content.

Re: Don't love the change at fullback

He looked nervy and anxious first half, grew into the game a bit as it went on and finished well. Thought he got lucky for the Lawrence try, but did well for Nofo's try - had a similar opp in the first half and didn't engage his man at all. He's still too inconsistent IMO, but is our best option at ...

He was strong in the first stint, but poor after that. A few big errors after that really helped us out.

Re: Matulino

No doubting those two plays were costly*, though he's been one of our best otherwise throughout the first part of the season. Grant is very poor defensively - no linespeed, no lateral movement. Good with ball in hand today. * Matulino should never have got the ball in that situation, gotta give half...

Re: Our Defense Is Not as Good As It Was

Some poor reads today, but we were our own worst enemy in terms of gifting them opportunities.
Additionally, we're missing our three best ruck defenders in Twal, Packer and ET - Parra took advantage of the space behind the ruck today.

Re: This is Just the Beginning

We’ve played the 2017 top four over five weeks, and been a chance to win all of them. We beat the Storm twice, neither of them in Sydney. Today we won after a 5 day turnaround (Melbourne had an 8 day turnaround), and did so whilst being off our best, as Benji and Lawrence said post match. Our first ...

Re: Nothing’s changed still a heart attack

We miss ET big time ... Last 20 was very ordinary though We didn't play smart with the ball , ET wouldn't help too much His defensive workrate around the ruck is sorely missed - they got a bit of momentum around there in the second half. I think our guys were just a little flat in the second half. ...

Re: Brutal Reality - We lack talent

I think we have a talented forward pack - maybe a bit thin on the edges, but plenty of good middle fwds. Brooks is a concern, as is the uncertainty at FB. I think we're a back or two short - hopefully we can get another body in. We're not going to win the comp this year, but there's enough in the sq...

Re: Seen enough

We were well down on intensity compared to the Sharks - not a surprise that they dominated us in the first half. Mentality was the issue more than anything. Cleary will have the 17 fired up properly for rd 1, so I'm not too concerned about that. Brooks is a real worry with his kicking game (or lack...
