Re: Making your kids fans.

I definitely agree with brainwashing kids to support my team but it doesn't always work. My son is 7 and has always been a Tigers supporter however my 9 year old daughter whilst I was going through said "brainwashing" stage loved puppy dogs so she decided that she wanted to go for the Bulldogs much...

Re: Can you imagine.....

Our stars are getting old now but if they can pull it off then amazing, I am hoping for Ivan's sake because he has shown faith in them in controversial circumstances.

Re: Wests Tigers sign Robbie Farah for 2018 Official

If Laurie Nichols was big enough to personally go and protest with Piggins to help keep them independent then it should be good enough for you and Russell to realise that we are both struggling working class foundation clubs that should respect each other. I am sure that they appreciated Nichols jus...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

I have done a few reno jobs under BASIX and it is virtually meaningless. It should be the rule that all new aircons purchased must be solar electricity supplied. That is only starters but will never be adopted. That all new houses be limited to a certain number of vehicles that the roads can curren...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

What happened to Rona..  Poor old Rona must have got on the 620 instead of the 621 which happened to me once. Ended up pantsless out the front of a Greek Restaurant in Haberfield with Mick Neill and Fred Hollows, God only knows how we didn't see that coming, you thought Fred would have b...

Re: Wests Tigers sign Robbie Farah for 2018 Official

They really appreciated his last game when many of their champs were poop players but Farah (with a few others) held the fort to get the 2 points. There are still many nice things being said about him on the Warren. I am awaiting Geo's approval to change my signature line to a quote from the Bunny's...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

I think that we have to virtually stop migration to prevent house price blow out and to save the environment. I don't mind socialist style housing where housing becomes a non issue. It is sort of a birthright that does not put financial pressure on young marriages causing them to break. Also people ...

Re: Making your kids fans.

My 28 yo son recently visited for a few days. He was brought up on classical music and chess - becoming champs at both. I could not get him to watch footie for one second. Then a few days ago surprisingly he watched all the Tigers game with me getting thrashed - I had to apologise and promised him t...

I may need to change my signature line - a few of those nice words by those appreciative Souths gentlemen could be appropriate. Appropriately attributed of course.

Re: Wests Tigers Centre of Excellence

Lidcombe velodrome was great, could put music on and totally relax whilst getting exercise in winter time. That Concord Oval is right up against Parramatta Road, the athletes will be pumping hard and breathing in pure diesel. That is what I hated about cycling on roads.

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

If you compare executive rates of salary compared to the working class over a few decades you will find that the execs have jumped up dramatically, whereas as workers have had cost of living adjustments (probably those arranged for by Hawke Accord) and not much else. I can remember decades ago I thi...

Re: Wests Tigers Centre of Excellence

Open green spaces are very important for many reasons - I hope they are not going to build all over Concord Oval? I wouldn’t classify Concord Oval as an open green space. The public have very limited if any opportunity to use it. I attempted to delete my post but maybe too late. I just don't like h...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

I know a few rich people and they certainly don't need tax breaks, they would not know which pocket to put the extra in. I don't believe in unhindered wealth that goes beyond for example the price of three median-priced houses. People like Zucker etc don't deserve their great wealth and eventually t...

Re: Wests Tigers sign Robbie Farah for 2018 Official

Let me tell you fellas, my mate who barracks for Norths who once sold Craig Coleman half a loaf of bread and an oil filter for his HQ Kingswood reckons Farah will be the orange juice to our methylated spirits. Between his bouts of amateur bareknuckle boxing and trying to court one of Les Boyd's old...
