Re: Euthanasia legislation passed Holy Moses

In relation to the Pay Grab scenario, surely life insurance is null & void if the death is constructed? Suicide is generally ruled out isn't it? Not sure whether euthanasia would circumvent that as it would technically be carried out by others? As macabre as it sounds it is an interesting scenario....

Re: Euthanasia legislation passed Holy Moses

Your emotions are getting in the way of your arguments. I don’t support ‘people suffering before they die’. However, I do support the natural dying process and what comes along with it. This is suicide. From every single perspective, it remains suicide. What makes it worse, it is assisted by anothe...

Re: Euthanasia legislation passed Holy Moses

Just a quick point... As a consequence of the terminal illness, the person has been experiencing severe pain, suffering or physical incapacity to an extent unacceptable to the person. Part of the NSW Bill, ambiguous to an extent. How would an objective person define severe pain? It doesn't matter b...

Re: NSW Origin Team

For QLD i'm worried about who the next fullback will be when Slater retires His name is GI Doesn't worry me if GI comes back, his best is behind him. Still good, but nothing like at his best, how many times did he go missing in 2016. Anything year older , another serious injury to a few others, and...

Re: NSW Origin Team

Too early to formulate a team but if 2017 form continues I'd like to see Angus Crichton, Nathan Cleary, Paul Vaughn, Clint Gutherson, Tom Trbojevic and Reagan Campbell-Gillard in the mix as possible additions. NSW need some genuine centres. Dugan, Bird and Hayne are all pretty unconvincing for mine...

Re: America - Gun Control

Killing is OK...Murder is not...OK..Gotchya Yep. If someone tries to take your life, you can fight back and potentially kill that person. But you can't murder someone in a premeditated fashion. That's the distinction. It's apparrently also ok to kill people if you don't like their religion and want...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Easts would be the team to beat in 2018 with the Puppet Master on board. I would give anything to have Cronk at WT. One of the best half backs of all time and a player you can build a side around. Makes Brooks look like amateur hour. Easts verses Storm in the 2018 Grand Final would be very interest...

Re: America - Gun Control

Read an article yesterday about a man who was stabbed to death in Sydney, he was stabbed while waiting for a bus. The perpetrator of the crime is a mentally ill man, the attack was random, the weapon was a knife. He spotted the victim from his window. Bystanders disarmed the attacker with a kick an...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Well it might not be a rumour but given we are one of the few clubs with cash Im going to make it a signing suggestion. Sign Cronk for HB - Now I'm Brooks fan but imagine what he could learn for 2 yrs playing wth Cronk and training with Cronk He won't come here. He wants another premiership and no ...

Re: America - Gun Control

I'll cop that on the chin. I meant the Puckle Gun, which was the precursor to the Gatling Gun. Doesn't change my point, or its validity. Abe...I'd never heard of a Puckle Gun so I googled it...I don't think they were very good..It says they only made 2..not really enough for every man woman and chi...

Re: America - Gun Control

We just had a crazy guy who had no signs of being crazy buy so many weapons and go and kill a whole bunch of people he didn't know. The problem clearly was the access to guns and specifically the type of guns he could get. Earl you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. What you have stat...

Re: America - Gun Control

The problem America has created for itself is that of creating a gun culture, which they have had from day dot. Control won't work for several reasons. One is that there are over 300 million guns in circulation, cataloging them all is impossible based on their registration records, or lack thereof....

Re: America - Gun Control

I was talking about it with my family and there was a story when a mother had 4 kids(two 12 yo and 2 6yo) and she went to Europe for 2 weeks leaving the kids on their own. Then the police came to the house where the kids were to check up on them and the 12 yo kids say "Yep we're safe, Mum left the ...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Seems like we jumped the gun in signing Reynolds we could’ve have Moylan as our 5/8...much better option too Not really something you can fairly assess. There was no way of knowing that Moylan might become available at the time Reynolds was signed and there was a shortage of options at 5/8. If we h...
