Re: Seen enough

Poor Tyson, his treatment on this forum is reprehensible. I should not have said a word. Let's see how other clubs treat their talent ... they are welcome and nutured. And by the way they are all Queenslanders 1. Kalyn Ponga (19) - Knights 2. Brodie Croft (20) - Storm 3. Murray Taulagi (18) - Cowbo...

Re: Brutal Reality - We lack talent

Well it depends who actually runs out as our backline but the Dragons have a slow one with Matt Dufty, Jason Nightingale, Euan Aitken, Tim Lafai, Nene Macdonald, Gareth Widdop and Ben Hunt. The only person with any noticeable pace in that backline is Matt Dufty and he's a bit of an unknown quantity.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I never once said that the club should pay the TPA. I said they should honour a contract, As you pointed out its TPA. I think that the club should have been in the players corner and helped out where they could. I feel this conversation is starting to go round in circles. Looking back through the t...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I've read the same things you guys have, Braith obviously was a commentator and had more exposure to speak his thoughts, there were several players in the same situation that didn't receive full payment.........where there's smoke there's fire and i personally think(just my opinion)that the club sh...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Anasta was the barometer for a dysfunctioning club. The problems he had with us were the problems we needed to fix. Unfortunately he was a washed up player by then so it looks like he didn't put in We still owed him money for three years after he left us that's why he said and did what he did, I th...

Re: Seen enough

Sharks will miss the 8. you are right, that would make my year! Can't see it happening though, but we can dream. It will be interesting to see what they do with Gallen as they look a better side without him. This has been coming for a while. No doubt Gallen has been an inspirational leader f...

Re: Seen enough

We were well down on intensity compared to the Sharks - not a surprise that they dominated us in the first half. Mentality was the issue more than anything. Cleary will have the 17 fired up properly for rd 1, so I'm not too concerned about that. Brooks is a real worry with his kicking game (or lack...

Re: The good, the decent and the bad

I also ask the question: how did some of our performers in the first trial become non-performers in the second? Anyway only a trial and I guess we must wait for the team to come together: let's hope that it is sooner than later. Better opposition means more pressure and less time. They just didn't ...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

Is Benji our only other option for halfback? If he is he wont be NRL ready for some time. Marshall is the best option. Lolohea would be next (he's played some halfback before for the Warriors and took dominant play making resposibility for Tonga over Hingano). After that Gamble. Lolohea and Gamble ...

Re: Cleary: "Tonight was a great reference point for us"

As i said last week the Cowboys game wasn't a trial, Cleary is right that this game was a good test for us, im not sure he'd be all that pleased with how we responded to that test. The Sharks took their foot off the peddle in the 2nd half and played their depth players. Last year other than Teddy w...

Re: Nathan Cleary

I rate Nathan Cleary but scoring points once inside the 20 has been a problem for Penrith the last 2 seasons. If that is any indication then we can't expect Nathan Cleary alone to come in and fix that problem in our side.

Re: The good, the decent and the bad

For too long we have been praising players on their effort and performance within the Wests Tigers team. However, this will mean little if our players are not better than their opposites in the competition. Rating a players 'effort' doesnt mean they completed the function of their roles at a high s...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I think there is a difference between the worst signing (where you ask why them) and the most disappointing (where you get your hopes up & they are terrible). Best crossover between the groups was Anasta. Anasta was having 0 runs for 0 metres games and averaging 0 beads of sweat per game at the Roo...

Re: Corey Thompson

People seem to forget that before he went to the Dogs he starred in the QLD Cup at fullback and had never played on the wing but the dogs had Barba but he was playing so well they needed to find somewhere for him because he was playing so well so he played wing. So fullback is his natural position ...
