Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Merrin is a useless fat overrated softy, never did anything for the dragons but was always talked up in the press, has had a couple of decent hit ups at panthers but not many - pass! I would chase Murdock Masilla - he was awesome in the World Cup (always had so much potential early on). I was calli...

Re: Manly Salary cap issue

but tonight on the news TRENT stated that they still had room in there cap to buy a new 5/8. sounds like someone is telling porkies. or there just like 5-6 other sides in the comp who get away with everything. I reckon Trent Hodkinson will go back to Manly now. They need a 5/8 and he will come fair...

I've got a spare grand in my tab account, top 8 yes or no?
I'd go with an emotional hedge bet of no. I'd be happy to part with a grand to see us make the 8.

Re: Fresh focus for Tui after emotional RLWC

I would've thought they'd give him a few weeks off after the WC. Sounds keen tho & hope he has a great year. seems weird theyve got 3 random players back. Maybe because Tui is first choice fullback he needs to be there for combos etc Shedding a few kgs wouldnt hurt either. Theres been a fair bit of...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I for one wish we still had him, he and Chris Lawrence and Brooks are the last players to come through the grades at WT, ( stand corrected if I’ve missed someone) next year we will have a team made up of mainly mercenary Kiwis who are playing for the bucks, they would never consider having 2041 tat...

Re: Pita Godinet

I've never really understood the hatred for wighton. Seems everyone either can't stand the guy or thinks he's crap. I dunno, but I've seen him have some pretty damn good games Jack Wighton would have been closed to a first pick choice starting centre for the blues if Sticky had not tried to make hi...

Do we have any spots left to sign anyone or are we full now ?
Yes, one spot and a fair bit of cap space if and when the right player comes along.

Re: Kent on Hayne

I think a lot of what is being spoken about in regards to Hayne is my main issue with the way the Roosters run their cap. The problem isn't with the TPA's themselves, but the fact that the NRL allows clubs to register players on the salary cap for far less than their market value. Regardless of you...

Yeah well people are entitled to the opinion he's an antagonistic knob. He does go out of his way to cultivate that opinion of himself in others after all... Yes he is provocative. Thats no excuse for media outlets labelling him racist etc. As for the "doo gooders" fighting cops in the street becau...

Re: Kent on Hayne

Naah player values dont depreciate by more than double in the space of a year....thats just garbage and fantasy Trent Hodkinson went from 600K signing and captain at Newcastle to unwanted reggies fodder after about a year. When a marquee signing goes sour it can really go sour. You also can't force...

Look at the discrimination Milo Yiannopolous is copping in Australia. Tolerant society? Everyone is entitled to an opinion? I think not. Re: Kent on Hayne

I don't see a problem with it. He was a speculative signing given his time away from the game and the Titans paid crazy money in part because they hoped he would be a crowd puller. He has utterly failed to deliver both on and off the field. As a player his value has plummeted and as a marketing too...

I'm not sure how anyone has a strong view of whether we would be better off with "guy they've seen play a max of 38 minutes of first grade" vs "guy they have literally never paid any attention to"...

Probably not great for fan morale discussing/ announcing this signing in a week when the Knights have been successful in thwarting the Sharks and Manly in getting Pearces signature.
By paying massive overs...not much of an achievement.
