Re: The difference between us and the bottom clubs

The difference is they can score points!
We can only defend them.
They can’t that is why they are at the bottom.
Oh I long for a time where we can get both sides of the game right!

Re: Ivan Cleary - THREAD..

In case anyone was interested.... Don’t believe hype – at least where Madge is concerned By Adrian Proszenko 18 August 2018 — 8:42pm At some point this week, Michael Maguire will be spotted at either Penrith or Wests Tigers and the rugby league world will go into meltdown. Maguire is perhaps the bes...

Re: Nathan Cleary

Isn’t Munster a left foot kicker and plays predominantly on the left? Isn’t that going to affect the balance of the team? Also Munster has been quoted as saying he wants to lose weight and move back to fullback once it’s an option. Billy has announced his retiring this year. Expect Munster to follow...

Re: Ivan Cleary - THREAD..

Would be but as I mentioned earlier, the key to that would mean we are most likely getting Nathan across also. If Ivan knew that his son is resigning with Penrith he would fight tooth and nail to get over there but yet he hasn’t asked for a release. The CEO and Chair have done all the talking and ha...

Re: Update from Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe

I just picked up on this paragraph in the middle of the article. Giving our head coach to a rival club is not a decision that is in the best interest of the fans or stakeholders.” Pascoe said he is disgusted by the Panthers’ poaching tactics, which may yet backfire if the Tigers wind up enticing Na...

Re: Relax

The tigers will not lose in this situation. They have ALL the leverage. Relax. ‘ALL the leverage’ to me that can only mean that we have an informal agreement that Nathan has chosen the Tigers. And of course we can’t reveal that until November we have to remain silent hence Ivan is remaining silent....

Re: New coach.. Who should we target?

It’s pretty obvious what has transpired is that Ivan has been informally advised by Nathan that the Tigers is not where he wants to play. This now puts pressure on Ivan and gives Gould a leg up in the situation. Ivan may have done everything possible to lure Nathan here but he may be just too Gen Z ...

Re: Ivan Cleary

“Ivan wants to go back to Penrith next year,” Kent said. Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe responded by denying Cleary was seeking a release to move back to Penrith. “Our position is very clear that Ivan Cleary is contracted with us for another two years and we expect him to be with us,” Pascoe told NRL 360...

Re: Ivan Cleary admits he wants to bring his son Nathan to the Wests Tigers

Gould just said on TV he has contacted who he wants to catch Penrith next year and its waiting for an answer yes or no. So he is certainly talking about Bennett or Cleary. I ruled out Barrett when he said someone with proven NRL experience at winning. It looks like Bennett to me. Sounds like Hassle...

Re: Anthony Griffin sacked

Go is covering her bases. As in playing the emotional card. But after all if they find out that in at the end of his current contract that Ivan has no intentions in continuing his job at the club why would they not consider releasing him early?.?.? But as far as the other thing goes. Why is it ok fo...

Re: Anthony Griffin sacked

Covering bases.... What I don’t understand is that Gus was appearing humble in offering up Nathan the chance to link with his dad and the whole league has been supportive of the move. Why wouldn’t the Tigers feel the same compassion for Ivan when or if they find out that Nathan wants to be loyal to ...

Re: Nathan Cleary

Hmmm, Gus has been quoted as saying his ready to move on from the role once he knows everything is in good hands. When Ivan was planing on signing with us when asked for his thoughts. He said I don’t know. His been successful as a coach that rebuilds a club but I feel even though that appears to be ...

Re: Luke Brooks

The thing is with Brooks this year especially is he is doing his job first. When you talk about consistency most of you guys get disappointed when he pulls off his tricks some games and other games does not. To me that is not a realistic expectation of a halve to have in the NRL. Those trick plays c...

Re: Luke Brooks

He is a runner of the football. A very good one. I want Cleary even more if we could pair him with Brooks. Would be awesome. Can’t disagree more, nothing I saw from that performance gave me the impression that he is a running five eight. Where did I say a number 6? I said he is very good runner of ...

Re: Luke Brooks

Harsh,
He passed into Space, Nofa was a bit clueless in that play.
It was 100% an instinct move which is good to see, we used to see Moses play the same way at times.
Nofa needed to be a bit more aware in that instance.

Re: Luke Brooks

Chook. That’s stupid, You can’t have two left side players in the one team. Keary and Brooks would be disastrous. Best individual performance from him this year I think. His definitely moved closer to the ball in these last few games, playing the full width of the field and finding space back insid...
