Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

From the The Mole ...... The Bulldogs are considering medically retiring Greg Eastwood after the Kiwi international forward underwent surgery for an irregular heartbeat last week. The club is desperately trying to free up money in the salary cap to sign a halfback and question marks over Eastwood’s...

Re: Nathan Cleary

Russell, do you have two nephews, one called Jacob and the other called Luke? No I don't BBF - but I do think that Jacob and Luke plus Josh and Tui could be stand outs for the Tigers in 2018. People have been saying that it is the weakest spine in the NRL. I don't think so. Couldn't be weaker than ...

Re: Nathan Cleary

Griffin will be under immense pressure to get something decent out of the Panthers next year. Having an unstable situation with the coach could play into our hands. But the fact that Cronk also comes off contract at the same time and their track record for pinching star juniors has me convinced he'...

Re: Should we all boycot GWS Giant sponsors.

Still dreading buying the IX 35 Should of got the Subaru in the Tigers colours The holy trinity of Japanese cars: Toyota, Subaru, Nissan. I would not dread an IX 35. A mate of mine brought a Brand new Hyundai Santa Fe. He had a collission with a heavily loaded Semi at a red light. Car was a write o...

Re: Manly Salary cap issue

Just heard one of the lead investigators say that some players have total debts that exceed the full value of their contracts but they can't pass their names to the NRL. Now that is a worry. These players cannot be trusted to behave ethically. Wouldn't it really depend on what the debt is ?? If it'...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Has anyone realised what a coup Newcastle has pulled off. By signing SKD, Guerra, Watson and others. They basically could Nudge Pearce over to their side. Cronulla did the same thing to us, signing Morris, Heighington, Ryan which allowed them a good shot at Fifita and Gibbs (ok that was us offloadin...

Re: What Car do you Drive..?

I drive a Honda Jazz 2003 auto... I hate Auto's but have to teach people how to drive... Great car, auto is a CVT transmission which means you have to look after it... It also means near Hybrid fuel economy, slower starts but no "thunk" as Auto's do with their gear changes. I testdrove a Mazda 6 and...

I'm still suffering from the years I had to eat kilos of Don Smallgoods. The Haier washing machine is still going strong, though.
My Father in law still drives a Proton! Car goes very well, I am surprised because the Daewoo's were horrid cars.

Should we all boycot GWS Giant sponsors.

Should we be boycotting Sponsors of Western Sydney Giants? I only say this as I finally changed my superannuation. My last super place sponsored the GWSGiants and I made it my mission to get out of there. 5 years later, well they obviously changed sponsors. http://www.gwsgiants.com.au/club/corporate...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I was fairly certain that we DID actually offer Marshall-King a spot, in ISP like Bailey Sironen, and then a better deal came along at another club, which he took. Fair enough, good luck to him. 100% correct...Marshall King actually signed with the WT then back flipped to join the Dogs during the 1...

Re: Mitchell Pearce

It will be very good for Mitchell Pearce to be at Newcastle. He will be captain, not under as much media scrutiny up here. can also enjoy the culinary delights. Like the $7.50 special from Georgetown Fish & Chip Shop.... ;) I can't see the Knights taking the Captaincy of Sione Mata'utia.. Well it's...

Re: AN EMOTIONAL Benji Marshall has opened up on his rollercoaster rugby league career & the return “home” to Wests Tig

Plenty of people seem to think Benji is going to be our X factor. The way I see it, he is a marketing tool no1, mentor no2 and back up for the spine no3. He showed at both the Dragons and the Brooks that nothing has much changed except he has lost his best weapon..pace. By that I mean it was still ...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

an inconvenient truth for #RegressiveLeft - quote from Thomas Sowell :master: "For more than 80 years, the political left has opposed what they call "tax cuts for the rich." But big cuts in very high tax rates ended up bringing in more revenue to the government in the Coolidge, Kennedy, Reagan and ...

I was listening to an Archaeologist talk about ancient Rome. There are a few theories about why that empire collapsed. 1. talks about how some colonies were infected with a plague near the empire collapse. (In fact a reason Christians became popular because they would help people bury their dead, ev...

Re: Mitchell Pearce

I imagine there's a great deal of schadenfraude being enjoyed by the old Wests fans here. I don't follow. Manly missing out after shedding a player to accommodate him. When did we do this? Was this why we shedded Hodgo all those years ago? Did we shed someone to go for Brent Kite? I vaguely remembe...
