Re: NRL finals - Week 2 (spoilers)

I am going to go Bunnies, will be cheering Penrith but I am backing the Bunnies.

I hate St George too much, Sharks need to be removed as a team. I would be happy with a Bunnies vs Panthers final.

Melbourne is the only non syd team in the finals. This is good.

Re: Thanks Tigers!

I predicted this year we would go from 13-16th too 9-12th. 9th is good but we could have come 8th. Looking at the top 8 we are no where near them. The Storm, Rabbits, Roosters Sharks and Panthers are teams of Superstars. The Dragons and Brisbane both have strong rosters and used them well. The Warri...

Re: Ivan Cleary

It's what we give and take from this. Ivan I believe will honour his contract or at least give the team notice. He has brought a lot of friends into the team, men who joined because of him and he won't ditch them. He also has a good working relationship with a lot of our ex panthers staff. But blood...

Re: Nathan Cleary

Just on that potential 1/2s pairing of Cleary & Brooks, although it looks great on paper Brooks has struggled in the past when he has not been the dominant playmaker. Does anyone think he'd regress back into his shell if paired with Cleary or would he fire as a running 5/8? We will have Brooks or N...

Re: New coach.. Who should we target?

So who has done well: Trent Robertson, an east side with some flash names and some major losses. Now nr1. Anthony Griffin, Penrith are flying. Siebold We could hire "mary" for 2/3 of the season, then swap when he tires out, In fairness to Barrett, he is keeping Manly kind of together. They should no...

Re: Coaching circus

except: "I've said all along that Trent Barrett isn't coming back to Penrith," Gould said. He explicitly ruled out Barrett. He has commented too that he hasn't talked with Bennett. Personally, the Titans would be NUTS not to hire Wayne in some capacity. (unless he asks for a crazy amount of money). ...

Re: Reynolds at Lock

Look I don't agree with Reynolds at Lock, my idea would be to move Marsters to lock and Reynolds to center. A 5/8 to Center is not a big change and with the Running game Reynolds has he would fit in there. That being said, lets look at him at lock: Pro: tough defense, good running game, can pass. Co...

Re: Luke Brooks

Think it helped tonight that Farah didn't overplay his hand. I'm loving his defence, and it's clearly giving him confidence in his game all 'round. Would of rathered he did not pass the ball to the side line on the second tackle. Only saw this once, but was it not also partly Nofo being too deep? P...

Re: Farah floats idea of walking off into sunset with Benji

If Segeyaro is legitimately available, sign him and do not re-sign Farah. If Segeyaro is not achievable, then re-sign Farah 1 year. Pretty simple for me. Same w Benji - if N Cleary is a real deal for 2019, give Benji another year 2018. If we can possibly get Cleary 1 season early, then Benji retire...

Re: Culture Change (Lol)

To me it's petrol in the tank. Come that last 20 minutes and were gone. It seems clear to me that if we vs half a forward pack were gone. Against Souths and Dragons we put the effort in, against Canberra and Titans we just can't handle their big men. The dogs game though, cmon guys you should have b...

Hope we keep Sue, we need big guys and were just getting run over.

IMHO, as much as it hurts this forum we should have considered taking Woods back. He is better then a fair few current forwards.

Re: Father and son broncos or roosters

So roosters out of the running with Robbo extending for four years..... Broncos? Penrith? Or tigers for the Clearys? My money is on tigers. Danny Weidler’s Sunday SMH article seems to point to that outcome. Mentions also that decision will be made in next few weeks. Weidler has no idea. Hasn't Nath...

Re: MWZ leaving making way for somebody else?

Why would Woods have even wanted to come back? He left because he was sick of carrying a bad pack. Our pack now is even worse. My understanding is he contacted the Tigers and wanted back in and we said no. Only heard this on here though. No inside information. We did him a favour then. He’s far bet...

Re: Father and son broncos or roosters

Yep those 2 wins from our last 10 must have rival clubs salivating at the thought of getting Ivan. Did anything need to be said beyond this! Roosters, NO. Trent Robertson is doing good there. Cowboys, will stick with Green who gave them a premiership. Penrith, will only consider Ivan to keep Nathan...

Re: The Al Packer made 31 metres

Why do we cop this crap ? Cleary needs a kick up the arse . Putting cases on all these jokers. 23 hour lock down. Cleary just needs to do what he said he would do at the start of the season. Big 17. You don't make your meters, put some juniors on the front row ahead of you. Competition brings out t...

Tigers got their old form back!

Hey everyone Anyone else glad to see the tigers return to their usual old form? https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/07/01/match-highlights-wests-tigers-v-titans---round-16-2018/ Looking at this highlight real, it looked like we would score 28 points and the Titans would score 30. Except we botched most of...

Re: Who's confident?

We should be winning vs the Titans. Instead, man we return to our Glory days. We look so dangerous we could pile on 30 points and defended really like a Gouda or a nice soft Brie. Were WAY out of sync. Passionate, but really out of sync and not defending the middle. Kevie, you rock and we will miss ...

Did we stuff the June 30 or what

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/bulldogs-boss-defends-cutting-woods-mbye-loose-20180628-p4zoaq.html So the Bulldogs have cut Woods and Mbye. We get Mbye and Sharks get Woods to add to Ava, Prior, Graham, Fifita and a big forward pack. We sign mbye a 750,000K player with some loading from the dogs. ...
