Re: Salary Cap

Thanks Geo, that is the way I thought it worked. So basically clubs that have good contacts in the big end of town have a massive advantage and of course most one team towns. Once again it highlights how uneven the current system i So why do the Roosters keep getting so much money? Cocanne this, Ki...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Pascoe & Go said 'as an organisation, not playing finals football is not an option'. If we dont make the Top 8 in 2018, someone needs to be put on the chopping bloke regardless of the never-ending excuses and retric of 'next year' Come on man, we finally have a good complete management team and coa...

Re: 2018 Fearless predictions.

Lets do a twilight zone one. 1. Premiership Winner - Raiders, Stewart works it out for once. 2. Wooden Spoon - Roosters, finally the Salary cap auditors catch up too them when they discover Mitchell Pierce being donated a Tibetan Mastiff outside the cap. 3. Daly M - Mitchell Moses for his most brill...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

We really need a marquee singing to give us that edge next year. I don't see that happening but would be good if we snare someone decent before next year Think Big. We have not seen this team play. We get someone Marquee like Jaryd Hayne we could end up like the Titans! Let this team settle, player...

Re: Police reportedly called to Blake Ferguson's home

I actually feel sorry for Fergo in this instance. You try and do the right thing, and also try to please an old mate, but when you give an inch they take a mile. I wouldn't be so quick to feel sympathetic to Ferguson. 3am house calls from a guy whose a known coke supplier should ring a few alarm be...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Look at Michael Lichaa the last couple of weeks when he was told he didn't have a contract. He came out of his shell and was the catalyst of their 3 game winning streak. Des had them on leashes. I think Reynolds will have a new lease of life next year. I still wouldn't rule out him being appointed ...

Re: Heighington joins Knights

Yeah I think they've recruited really well. We have as well but IMO but the Knights have the better quality players coming in. No way. Yes way. Ponga > Lolohea. Watson > Reynolds. Moga > Fonua. Guerra > McQueen. Lillyman > Rochow. Watson and Ponga are all hype. The only ones i will give you are Mog...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Whispers seem to be getting a bit louder of Cronk to the Roosters. If so you would have to think Pearce exits the place and we would be a real chance. Pearce would not come to our mob, he would only go to a so called glamour club. He would be a good buy for us,good kicking game and can tackle....bu...

Re: Salary Cap

Can someone explain the Hayne TPA? As I understand it webjet or a similar company would kick in $500,000 for Hayne to feature in their adds, but only if he signed with the Gold Coast Titans? Look I get it. Were going to get superstars. Superstars will get corporate sponsorships and that's natural, i...

Re: Heartland needs love

As someone said above, St George have far fewer problems wandering. 6/6 split works fine. 3 games at Campbelltown is a joke! a total Joke. Campbelltown fans should not have to travel 1.5 hours to their "home ground". We need to ditch ANZ or Leichhardt oval and in my view it should be ANZ. We don't o...

I completely disagree. I think it shows a level of reality and decency. Ok, they've decided to take their talents elsewhere and who knows when their obligations to WT end? But, they've reached honours while a part of our club. I think that says a lot about THIS club as opposed to where they're goin...

Re: Did we miss out on Des

JT went back to the Roosters as their attacking coach and that's the one thing that let them down towards the end of the season. Yea, I read comments like this in the "chookpen". How disappointing the semi finals are.... Seriously, I think JT failed as a coach for us big time. But he re-enters the ...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

I'd love to take Trent Merrin off Panthers hands. Geez he would be an astute pick up Much more needed than Moylan. YES, I think I said something to this effect earlier. Merrin is travelling to Penrith, surely our training ground is closer. Our Fullback is learning and developing. Somehow we have ha...

Re: Why Not the Balmain Bears?

My best memories as a kid was playing 4 grand finals on North Sydney Oval. Lost the first one, and won the last three. I would love for rugby league to return there. If Norths get back in i think they intend playing 4(6?) home games at NSO,that will P..off Gold Coast Fans if they are successful in ...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

THE saga is over. Matt Moylan is staying at Penrith. Channel Nine has reported Moylan’s manager Allan Gainey on Friday informed rival clubs the star playmaker will remain at the Panthers. It comes after reports emerged Penrith had slapped a $250,000-per-year transfer fee on Moylan which would have ...

Re: Why Not the Balmain Bears?

Since we are talking Crazy ideas, why dinnit Norths merge with the Bulldogs? How freaky would a Dogbear look as a mascot! Half dog half bear. I think the magpies could only then merge with Manly or Cronulla. Creating the Magle (a magpie eagle, that doesn't seem so scary till you imagine an eagle wit...

Re: Why Not the Balmain Bears?

My wife was from Glebe and always went Tigers.
I was born in Campbelltown, decided to go for Magpies probably because of that. (my brother was a doggies supporter and Magpies played the Dogs the first Rugby league game I went too on Terry Lamb Oval).

So WT for me.
