Re: Why Sydneysiders should support the Roosters

OMG this is such good value (from the chookpen). "Cant agree.. Weve blown it too many times.. I also think we were lucky in the 2013 GF, we were struggling until SBW stepped up with a forward pass etc.. the point is we have rarely been convincing under Robbo & he has got one of the best squads in th...

Re: Why Sydneysiders should support the Roosters

A quick browse of the Chookpen forum provides a great giggle, they want to get rid of basically every player in the club, the coach and anyone else associated with the Rorters over the last few seasons. Plenty of calls for buying even MORE of other clubs' players: is that even possible? Uncle Nick ...

Re: Connor Watson

I agree with that, he is a natural goal kicker with potential, he just needs to harness it. The weekend is the perfect example because he should have kicked that goal knowing what was on the line, I think he cracks a little under pressure which is something Hodgson and Cleary will have to work on t...

Re: Same sex marriage debate...

As for the second part of your response that i didn't quote, well that has nothing to do with what we are actually being asked to vote for. None of this has been proposed as part of what is actually going on, so i wont be supporting what actually HAS been proposed. There is not a vote! This is a su...

Re: Finals series 2017 *Spoilers

You would think Paul Green would go with the same 17 that has got the Cows into the GF and have the mojo going at the moment. Could really disrupt team morale if a player is asked to make way for someone who has missed the last 18 weeks or so. Gotta keep the hot hand going IMO. Also a massive risk ...

Re: Same sex marriage debate...

I wonder if there are many or any gay people, particularly those in a long term r/ship quietly hoping this doesnt get legalised Not sure mate, i think gay couples have some restricted rights when one of them passes compared to straight couples. They don't count as next of kin. I don't know if there...

This thread can be summed up as "Mahe Fonua" will either be fantastic or not have the speed we need at the edge.

So glad we have those two last cap spots ready....

*the dumb idea* Worst comes to worst, move Brooks to the wing.

"Their cap manager stated that if you pay your average players big money they think that they are stars, and don't have to improve." Bingo. We spoilt Tedesco, Moses and Brooks because we wanted to keep our spine... Hence we got a crap spine. they werent that crap.. woods, moses and tedesco have pro...

Re: Same sex marriage debate...

I have never voted in a plebiscite before, have you? It's not a plebiscite, it's a survey. It's a technicality though isn't it? The only two differences between this and a plebiscite, as I understand it, is that the survey is non-compulsory for citizens and the government didn't have to pass a bill...

Re: Why Sydneysiders should support the Roosters

I'll never forget what Murdoch and the Super League teams done to the game, and from which it has never recovered. So it'll be a cold day in hell before I ever support a SL team against any ARL team. :x Roosters were ARL aligned iirc They were. As it stands, the Roosters are the only ARL team left....

Re: Same sex marriage debate...

A man in Melbourne has been jailed for marrying a 14 year old girl. Distirbing that that type of marriage receives less condemnation than 2 consenting adults. Yep its a far more distressing and important issue. Well, it is Very disturbing. But nothing is broken here. Idiot marries 14 year old. Man ...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I wouldn't at all be surprised if we don't sign anyone until next year. Why not leave 2 spots for any players that want a mid season release? Parra are leaving a spot open for Semi next year Exactly. We have almost a new team here. We don't know who is going to play poorly and who will do well. Let...

Re: Same sex marriage debate...

Clearly you have stated above that you have no opposition to "gay Marriage" itself but only consequences in other laws (like Anti Discrimination act, etc). The best course of action then is not to deny Marriage to a person and improve the law. Realistic question here. Who is going to improve the la...

Re: Des Hasler to leave the Bulldogs

"Aaron Woods has called for Canterbury to quickly appoint a new NRL coach to replace Des Hasler as Todd Payten emerges as a top candidate." ROFL... I rate Payten as a front row coach and their front row will fire. I mean he has to be doing something right at the Cowboys. But yea, he probably doesn't...

Re: Same sex marriage debate...

Baker refuses to sell a cake to a gay couple celebrating <anything> then that is discrimination. You have refused to serve a person for who they are. (I can hear arguments on a baker painting a "happy gay wedding" sign on a cake, likewise if a Jewish baker painted a "happy Adolf Hitler day" on a ca...

Re: Same sex marriage debate...

Okay well let's deal with the public servants. Nobody is going to be fired from the APS for "believing in traditional marriage". That's a non-starter. If a public servant refused to perform some action due to personal beliefs in Australia they'd most likely be transferred but at the end of the day ...
