Re: Tigers interested in RTS

What about Tui to Halfback or Bench reserve spot? Marshall will probably retire next year. Tui Kicks and is a better tackler then Brooks. Ok I like the idea of a ball playing Center, i.e. SKD, Jamie Lyon who can get good ball out to the wing. I could see Tui and Marsters being our center pairing and...

Re: Tigers interested in RTS

Wests Tigers interest may wane if Lolohea starts the season all guns blazing in the fullback role. If RTS does sign with the Tigers we will certainly have a number of ex warriors players on the books as well as an ex warriors coach!! West Tiger Warriors? Kind of has some ring to it. Maybe do a doub...

Re: The best and worst defensive centres in the NRL

For all the arguments about the stats Esan Masters played in the same team and was top 10 abd all the others were bottom 5. For me that locks him in a place for next year It's no coincidence that Marsters started playing centre after Moses left. Correct Moses poor defence led to the witches hut run...

Re: Brisbane player charged with assault

Here's more players in trouble .. EX-NRL players Dave Taylor and Fuifui Moimoi have been reportedly sacked from Canadian rugby league club, the Toronto Wolfpack. Mirror Sport in the UK reports the duo, plus former England international Ryan Bailey, have left the club following an incident while on ...

Re: BENJI IMPRESSES TIGERS

Give Benji the #6 jumper and put the grub at #9 Let's stick with the plan for the moment. We can make changes as needed when the season starts. Agreed, but Brooks has till round 6. Then we give the Number 7 to Marshall (or maybe Reynolds if he really wants it and remembers to pass!). Hope you have ...

Re: Why pressure won't get to Luke Brooks in 2018

I don't think Brooks has been that bad. I'm serious as well. I watch other teams and they also have halves that struggle. I'm just as concerned about Reynolds, Tui & Liddle. I think every player in our spine has the potential to be good or a dud. I think we just need the whole team to perform next ...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

no one stops at Gladstone... I think they still have the old Co-Op for a local shopping centre. 14 pubs, a 70's strip club, but nothing else. It all stems from the locals voting in some independant years ago. They failed to realise it only results in the state & federal government spending elsewher...

Re: Who Improves in 2018

If Brooks doesn't improve 100% we're no hope. If Brooks does not improve, Benji returns to the NR7 and Marsters or Kevie take the Bench reserve spot. Likewise if Reynolds does not fit at 5-8, Marshall plays with Brooks. If we loose both Brooks and Reynolds.... The only player I am worried abo...

Re: Pre Season Casualty Report

This is bad. I think we can cover for McQueen fairly easily. Moses is one player who could be a weapon for us and we will miss that but I think we have depth to cover the loss of an outside back. The big loss though is Liddle. I reckon we need him to turn into a gun player if we are going to have a...

Re: The Contenders: Hooker

I have our order of preference for hooker as: 1. Liddle, 2. Mcilwrick, 3. Taylor, 4. Marshall, 5. Godinet. Looking above though, it seems that Liddle was only playing for an average of about 40 minutes. I can only imaging Taylor going 80 minutes. Mcilwrick maybe if he really really trains hard, but...

Re: Reynolds: "Nobody thinks they're better than anyone here"

Any prospect of Reynold becoming captain of WT just disappeared with these pretty average comments. He wld offer the same level of " leadership" as what weve had last coupla years...and WT deserves better..and needs better if we wish to move forward ET now odds on to have the c next to his name..wh...

Haha checkmate...except you failed to mention unemployment, stock market, manufacturing or high court appointments. Stock market could only rise really , it was low for a long time , tax cuts will do that short term as it will also help manufacturing I suppose when you are trying to pick wars with ...

Re: The Contenders: Hooker

Weve invested in Liddle and shld give him every opportunity to show what hes got.He cant play 80 mins atm as we all agree, but between ET in the backrow and Benji on the bench we have two really good backups to plug the gaps. Were not a big team by any stretch, and personally I just don't wanna squan...

No, i seem to have a problem with idiot left wingers. Are you one of them? Hilary Clinton is not an 'idiot left winger', she is an accomplished, assertive & intelligent woman, but people apparently can't handle those qualities in a female, judging by the way she (& others like her) is always being ...

If you are going to say someone is "unreasonable" or "bonkers" say why! All I see is childish name calling. So I will let you know what one decent republican actually thinks of her: Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), saying “if you’re going to go fight for something, you can’t ask for a better partner.” http...
