McQueen upbeat despite Tigers coach switch

Wests Tigers recruit Chris McQueen could have been forgiven for feeling unwanted by Ivan Cleary after being the club's final signing for 2018 by Jason Taylor before the coach was sacked. McQueen was announced as the joint venture's first major recruit for 2018 in April, two weeks following the dismi...

Why new Shark Seumanufagai left the Tigers

When most were happy to stay on the bus at the Wests Tigers, Ava Seumanufagai decided to get off. It was nothing personal with new coach Ivan Cleary. The powerful front-rower enjoyed a month under Cleary's tutelage before he signed with the Cronulla Sharks in May for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. While...

I think Sue as an impact prop is a really good option. He can make some great runs. He is though inconsistent.
I've always thought of Sue as a backrower, he just needs to work on his defence, his work rate and his lateral movement.

Re: The Ashes

Warner and Smith are gonna need to have a big day with the bat tomorrow Well considering the dunderheaded selectors dropped a specialist batsman for this game, its entirely possible we'll need a couple of big hundreds just to compete. The new blokes need to pull their weight. Cant always expect Smi...

Yeah, the number of times they repeat 'We'll go ahead with this even if we don;t get Govt. funding' implies that they're pretty sure they're not going to get Govt funding.
Hope I'm wrong
Doesn't mean it won't happen, just means it will take longer.

Wests Tigers hit the training paddock in 40C heatwave

THE temperature might have passed 40C out west but that hasn’t stopped NRL coaches flogging their stars in pre-season training. The Tigers were among a handful of Sydney teams slogging it out this morning. Coach Ivan Cleary braved the heat with his men, who definitely earned a swim after this summer...

IVAN Cleary is driving the bus and he’s ready to steer his club back on track. Here’s five reasons to get excited about Wests Tigers next season. BENJI MARSHALL It seems like a lifetime ago, but it was only in 2013 that Marshall walked away from the Tigers disillusioned with the club and rugby leagu...

Re: Manly Salary cap issue

$400k off next years cap - Could be a 1 million fine - could cost Manly 10 million in advertising??????? All little band aid stuff - the point being, this is not just a scratch. NRL need to deduct points from next year - how many points? depends on how much rorting. If it is good enough to deduct f...

Re: NRL agrees to review third-party agreements in a bid to end salary cap rorting

Here's an idea: All player salaries and TPA's come via the NRL. The club's have player payments taken away from them. Third parties pay the NRL, who in turn pay the players. Any monies paid to players outside this system would be instantly identified as fraudulent. How are you gonna track the brown...

The Rugby League Players Association revealed in a statement the governing body has agreed to review the TPA system, which it says is largely to blame for clubs breaching...
