Re: Wests Tigers halfback Luke Brooks is in control and ready to rock

It’s all speculation till the season starts. I’m just over hearing about our players talking about aiming to finally reach their potential. It’s almost as boring as #OnTheBus. What would you prefer to hear from them at this time of year? Nothing tbh. Fair enough - just don’t read the twitter/websit...

Re: Wests Tigers halfback Luke Brooks is in control and ready to rock

I think that’s spot on King Sirro. Taylor setting up on the other side to Brooks and Reynolds gives us options. Also think Lawrence could play that roll if in the top 17

Re: Wests Tigers halfback Luke Brooks is in control and ready to rock

I for one am looking forward to the half and five-eighth playing both left and right. Sounds like good ol’ fashion footy coming back. Also....... at risk of being bashed with forum alternate opinions ....... I Thinking Brooks will come of age this year- he will have a stellar season

Packer has a uni degree, talks clearly with well thought out sentences and seems to be very aware of how his messages will be perceived by media and fans.

Woods didn’t have many (any) of these qualities.
I would not be at all surprised if Packer is named captain. He ticks a lot of boxes imo

Re: NextGen: Connelly Lemuelu

"He went to Keebra as well, so we’ve had a pretty similar story“. Not too similar yet! Benji went on to be a world champion. Hopefully in years to come Connelly can have a similar story to Benji. Time will tell Benji was a looong loong time ago..the strike rate for Wests Tigers from Kebra making it...

Re: The Contenders: Lock

I know the modern trend is to have props interchangeable with locks, but if Taylor is a consideration for lock, why not Rowdy? He's got the ball skills (gone well at 5/8 for us in the past) and the footwork. Because Taylor is extremely good at defending in the middle and is a better ball player tha...

I would like to see Brooks step up and demand to be captain of his team.
Sorry Fibros but no way. I have never bagged Brooks on this forum but judging from interviews etc he simply doesn’t have the smarts to be captain

Re: Cleary's - "back to the future" prediction ?!

A stab in the dark on this one. I thought it may have meant something to do with Benji in the centres again. Back to when Brooks debuted? I don’t think you’re right Tigertye but there’s something about your idea that excites me. Benji running free in the centres has appeal. Mind you, a few passes t...

Re: Reynolds: "Nobody thinks they're better than anyone here"

Why? I thought the podcast was really positive- and honest and raw which makes a change from ‘I just did it for the boys’ ‘were just playing one game at a time’ ‘it is what it is’.....

Interestingly Taylor not considered as a hooking option but Benji Marshall is. I’d have Taylor as a twenty minute hooking option any day of the week.

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

I’m not sure about a round 1 team but my prediction is we will give the Roosters a toweling. Everyone involved at the club is saying there is a hunger and determination not seen before. Listen to Reynolds on the latest podcast - he says everything is a competition at the moment. I’m not sure how we ...

Re: Cleary's - "back to the future" prediction ?!

To be honest, I just want a team that plays for each other. That doesn’t look for excuses. That is still going in the 80th minute. 2005 flair would be nice but I want to see the team earn the right to go sideways by going straight and hard. A team that work together defensively across the park. And ...

Re: Cleary's - "back to the future" prediction ?!

Hang on . . . I think I've solved it !!!!! "Back to the future " means that we will have the De Lorean Motor Company as club sponsor in 2018/19 financial year. Not only is this a direct tie-in to the Movie of the same name, but it also harks back to our last success in '05 when we were sponsored by...
