Re: New jumper 2019?

I wouldn’t mind that with an orange version as an alternative.

Re: Round 1, 2019

Same old , same old , all about the TV NOT the fans. I will be lucky to see 2 games at the ground next year coming from the country. Amazing to see the Tonga experience and what effect it has on the players. To bad we see empty stadiums where all the players hear are echo's. Wouldn't Saturday eveni...

Re: Round 1, 2019

Not a bad way to start the year for us.

Is this confirmed?

Re: Australia V Tonga

I am on the Tongan band wagon. Would love to see them do well, the more countries that are competitive in the international game the more chance the game has to grow.

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

So if Maguire has signed on who coaches the side at the start of pre season. New Zealand tests will still be going on. Seeing as it is mainly testing and fitness first up, assume that would be Ronnie Palmer and the regular assistants, but who knows where he and/or they fall when the dominoes finall...

Re: Cricket Season Thread

Don’t buy test tickets in Australia for days 4 or 5. India can’t bat outside of India and Australia can’t bat at all. India batted alright here 4 years ago. Kohli scored 4 hundreds. It will be the Australian batting order that will struggle to get runs. Bowling attack will be strong and cause some ...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Back on topic. If recent reports are true the Broncos are interviewing four prospective coaches of whom Maguire is one. If we end up with Maguire it will only be because he is a Bronco's reject - where is the pride in that? I'd rather take the initiative by telling Ivan he can go now with no settle...

Re: New jumper 2019?

We have had the main for 3 seasons so it's due to change....I suspect though this just could be a change in cards... The players were on them last couple of years...I got Brooks last year.. :D Didn’t they scape the players on the cards last year after 2017 when they had Woods and Moses who the fans...

Re: Cricket Season Thread

Massive fight back by Pakistan but a wicket at the end of the session gives Australia a chance to roll them for under 300. Big last session coming up. Far out I’ve got an early start and a huge day at work ........... but can’t go to bed That’s what test cricket will do to you. The only true cricke...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

sign Madge for 4 years and put all the speculation to bed. Uncle Wayne although obviously a top coach, is a traveling side show and we need a bloke without whistles and fan fare. In a way similar to Ivan. a quite achiever and we need a bloke long term. Basically we need this put to bed and the last...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

I’ll alao sign up when the draw comes out. Like to see what games we have and make sure I can make it to most (although I always end up getting a full package every year). Doesn’t matter who the coach is to me. I’d be surprised if the draw is out this week it’s normally mid November/ early December...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

So an article up on NRL.com is saying that Maguire has been interviewed by the broncos for 2020 so this may drag out for a bit longer despite what The Pom said earlier.

Re: Cricket Season Thread

20/20 cricket is not providing young players withe the foundation they need for the longer form of the game. Young players are so drawn to it that I worry about what test cricket will look like in 5 - 10 years as the players who have grown up with 20/20 as the focal point start to come into senior ...

Re: Cricket Season Thread

Domestic set up has declined - 100% agree. I also think the introduction of 20/20 is now leading to the development of batsmen with poor defensive technique and too many medium pace trundlers who just put the ball on the spot. 20/20 cricket is not providing young players withe the foundation they n...
