Re: Official Team to take on the Newcastle Knights

Josh Reynolds’s unfortunate start to his Wests Tigers career could go from bad to worse with the five-eighth potentially facing at least a month on the sidelines. NRL.com understands Reynolds picked up a shoulder injury in his first game for the club against Manly at Lottoland on Sunday and the for...

A little calmer than Barrett at half time yesterday?

Re: Luke Brooks comes of age with masterclass against Manly

So pleased it's all coming together for Luke. 👍
He stayed loyal when the other 3 walked.
Now he's reaping the reward.
Can't say the same for a certain Mr. Moses, pictured in tears after yet another Eels loss - even if it is every other players fault. 😆

Re: 3,2,1

Brooks as MOM is the only given IMHO.
Cannot disagree with any other opinions here as they all played so darn well.
Gee, this team is going so well it's great to be trying to decide the 3 best! Many moons since we had that problem. 😂

Has anyone got the link to the video? Tore Kenny Edwards a new one when he was trying to milk a penalty haha Cant blame him but he’ll definitely miss a few games for it. He was banned in u/20s for using the same word. Here you go mate...R18+ http://www.sportingnews.com/au/league/news/mitchell-moses...

Re: Short Turnaround against Melbourne?

Might have been dreaming but it looked a bit like Packerlino and the forwards put the cue in the rack early today. Their already thinking like a successful club. Can't see Melbourne beating us on form atm. Might be some big bets again. Looked that way. Eels weren't good enough to suddenly score tho...

I can still sort of probably play with that."
Sort of probably play?
Too big a risk and not necessary at this stage of the season.

Re: OK let's be honest now

Glad to see some are pointing out our defence instead of concentrating on the amount of points scored. This is a HUGE improvement on any WT team I've seen. Us scoring few is fine as long as the opposition score less. And, as stated by others, we're doing it against top clubs. Look back to 05 and the...

Re: Benji Marshall’s extraordinary role in Wests Tigers undefeated start to 2018 NRL season

Man...the depth we have is insane! Ain't that the truth! No big name signings really but smart buys. Apart from our choices in the backs, the forwards are no longer turnstiles. That's not only laying the basis for attack, it's saving us stacks of metres we no longer have to win back. Only two round...

Re: HAPPY THAT OUR COACH IS IVAN CLEARY

I reckon having Cleary is a huge plus for our Tigers. The players know who is boss, he gets rid of the trouble and, football-wise, is doing a great job on our game - defence especially. Watching the Finals on the weekend I just knew Flanagan and Barret would spit the dummy. Fair enough to be dirty b...

Re: Brooks becomes the running man

I think Brooks does most things at an acceptable or above average level. The only things he struggles with are the 5th tackle options and short kicking. He remedies this (we know in the past that he is capable of it,) and he becomes an infinitely better halfback. Good call IMHO. And look for more i...

Re: Could We?

A win would be great but I'll be really happy if they just have a real dig. Seen a lot of guts and effort from the boys lately and just want them to continue in that mode to define a "new" Tigers attitude for 2018. Just give everything for the 80 boys and who knows? BTW, looking more like we won't ...

My memory's fading.
Was that the game Ellis crossed 3 times for no tries?
And the one where Benji threw a punch in the play the ball, giving away a penalty instead of our try.

Re: When was the last time that Tigers beat Rooster?

I still get sick over that loss to them in the 2010 final.
Had it won before that stupid scrum and Anasta's field goal - followed by an intercept try in extra time.

 :?: :(
