Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Brooks - Moses = grubby, public negotiations. Dont play Moses game- give Brooks an offer and ask for reply on Roosters offer (verified on paper- dont trust the grub one bit) and thats it. WT need to make sure we have a plan B in place. We cant be blackmailed by Moses. Fair and reasonable offer to Br...

Re: Hayne plane

If what is reported in the press is true- that Hayne doesnt want to play for any other Sydney side except Parra- Im happy to grant his wishes and he can go where ever he pleases. WT wont beg.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Not fussed, as long as it's a fair competition for Brooks signature not influenced by the grub Moses. I'd give Brooks only a week or two to decide and be making inquiries of players like littlejohn and drinkwater now over in esl for back-up alternatives. Not sure we have any stand out in isp in case...

Re: Justin Pascoe on 2ky 8am today

Dont question Moses, nor recruitment of Reynolds but.............. I do question his actions over the last 3 months of the season. The teams performance went downhill, we blamed the players but we did at times question his selections and in my case his inactions as coach in trying to steady the team...

Re: Justin Pascoe on 2ky 8am today

After recent events suspicion would be IC made sure Penrith talent and reserve talent remained at Penrith.

Re: Justin Pascoe on 2ky 8am today

The more I hear of IC's comments to Penrith bosses and his interactions with them, supposedly checking on how his son was going, the more I think this bloke was just a huge joke. He seems to have it been on 'holding pattern' at WT. Never deciding his final 17 players, 5 co-captains, never getting fi...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

2019 will be the make or break season for both Reynolds (getting on the field consistently) and McQueen (recovery of old form). If neither can do it, there is no way either can expect to be there at WT for 2020 despite contracts.

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Have to say when all this is sorted, the only thing that will be remembered is Ivan Cleary sure didnt cover himself in glory with his exit from WT. Sad really, with the trust and hope he originally engendered in the fans, probably the players too...............

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Broncos (Bennett) and Souths (Siebold) seem to have no great reason to jump as their coaching choices dont need to happen until end of next season. WT are on a different priority as there is extreme doubt over Cleary being here in 2019 - again subject to WT accepting a request for early release and ...

Re: He feels he can be the main man’: Wests Tigers to see the best of Luke Brooks, says Benji Marshall

I'd say it's a role that's been given to benji as well. He and Lawrence are probably the most respected players we have.

Re: Roy Masters

Boy, do I remember those days- catching the train from Croydon (and later Blue Mtns) to Lidcombe with dad and enjoying a great day out. They talk about recreating the siege mentality at manly now- well it was there at lidcombe with Wests Magpies in those years. Everyone knew they were in for a game ...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

This worries me. If true, it means that both Madge and Bennett do not want to come here. Therefore, Ivan’s contract stands and if he wants to go to Penrith, it will cost them $500k for us to release him. [/quote] I don't read it that way at all. I think if true it's saying you created this mess, you...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Still can't figure out the salary cap, it's limits, club sanctions and nrl approving and registering contracts before it's 'official'. There should be no cap problems if the nrl is checking contracts before registering it. The only salary cap problems would then be if the club reaches finals or play...

Re: Our past is killing our future

I think the home ground thing will be remedied very soon. I would not be surprised if we set up camp at WSS long term. It is important to remember the clubs that gave rise to WT, but I am starting to realise that there may be a point where the past has to be left there and the club needs to make de...

Re: Our past is killing our future

All can be remedied. The highest priority would be the home ground conundrum, at some stage WT have to bite the bullet and make decision and upset a significant group of fans one way or the other. Junior development requires attention but can be brought around- we also need to make calls on players ...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

FWIW sounds like Bennett doesn't want to leave Brissie. McGuire would seem to be in box seat. Not aware of any other coach options being actively considered unless someone like Toovey makes a late approach.

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

His contract would state he's employed to coach WTs NRL team... Anything else we'd have him doing we'd be in breach Let him take us to court. Im not saying he doesnt get paid, he just doesnt get the work due to his bringing the club into negative press and actually working with Penrith to nullify h...
