Re: cameron GRUB smith

The nerve of that pommy player in using the back of this head to brutally attack poor Cam's elbow, he'll be lucky to be let in the country again after that one!

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

HUSH, HUSH Which half and his coach are at loggerheads over team selections? This player wants to swap a member of their spine with a rookie as they’ve struck up quite the combination at training but the coach won’t budge. https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/private-ryan-titans-sharp-s...

Re: World Club Challenge

Yeah maybe. Though it downplays with relevance of international rugby league with half of Australia playing the other half + the rest of the world being added.

Still though, may be worth a go. Something needs to be done as the WCC certainly is not the pinnacle that it should be.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Front-loading a contract, correct me if I'm wrong, works like this: For e.g. Player 1 on a three year deal for $500k a year. So that's $1.5m over 3 years. Usually Year 1 - $500k, Year 2 - $500k, Year 3 - $500k, but front loading would go like this, Year 1 - $700k, Year 2 - $400k, Year 3 $400k... The...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

IC sure is playing his cards close to his chest. Who do you play in the trials? 30 players, everyone Who is the captain? These five players What's the bet IC names the 21 players for Rd 1, numbered not by position, (1 fullback, 2 winger, 3 centre... etc) but alphabetically (1 Aloiai, 2 Brooks, 3 Eis...

Re: Wests Tigers name five co-captains

I don't think we will finish the season with 5 captains. Hopefully only 2 at most. It is strange though. Good on Cleary for being his own person. Fingers crossed it all comes good. Perhaps Cleary is thinking that though Benji or Lawrence probably won't make the run-on teams, they are the leaders, an...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

So with the kid been elevated to the top 30, that only leaves one seat on the bus and I guess one baby seat to replace the one, the kid was in. You would imagine this contract was at the lower end of the scale, so that should leave a healthy amount to direct at no 30 and this also could be related ...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Some on here are much too sensitive. SG, whether right or wrong, created discussion and as of yet he is still not wrong. He said sometime this week, we will wait and see before making our judgment. Also, I seem to remember another user on this forum (can't seem to remember the name) also confirming...

Re: Anti Tampering Laws

So many players have left clubs recently, breaking a current deal, and gone to another club the same day.

It really is ridiculous. I agree, may as well not have the anti-tampering rules as they do not stop clubs from tampering with already existing deals.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Yeah, he was in our FG squad last year (2017). We released him to let him go after other opportunities, but I guess it didn't work out, and he's coming back to us on a ISP contract, playing ISP (which is what he mostly did last year anyway).

Josh Drinkwater looks set to join magpies via the mole.
Is this the 'Big Signing'?
Game changer...
He's a good pickup, joining Magpies on an ISP contract. Good as in not bad. Not one of the top 30, but if we got desperate we could use him. It never hurts to have more backup.

Re: BIG signing coming soon

If Barba has to choose between us and Sharks, who seriously thinks we would have any chance? We don't offer him the big deals on the side that they (and others) do.

Re: BIG signing coming soon

Thank you teddy, and you too SG. I am impressed that someone like Barbs wants to join us even considering all his baggage.

I don't get it, culture wise, but I trust in Ivan.
And I still want RTS for 2019, and Cleary for 2020. Roosters, Storm, Broncos or Sharks could afford it, why not us.
