Re: The best and worst defensive centres in the NRL

When you read the rest of the article, it talks about how centre is one of the hardest defensive positions, with a lot of decision making required. While the inside defence often leaves the centres with limited options, some of them just seem to have terrible judgement. I think Chee-Kam was one of ...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

The team below is based on Moses Suli and Jacob Liddle being unfit to be considered: 01. Tuimoala Lolohea 02. David Nofoaluma 03. Taane Milne 04. Mahe Fonua 05. Kevin Naiqama (can double up as fullback in case of injury) 06. Josh Reynolds (c) (he is here for change of culture and attitude) 07. Luke...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

Assuming Everyone is available and fit this is what I'd like to see Rd1. 1. Tuimoala Lolohea 2. David Nofoaluma 3. Moses Suli 4. Milne 5. Mahe Fonua 6. Josh Reynolds 7. Luke Brooks 8. Russell Packer 9. Jacob Liddle 10. Ben Matulino 11. Elijah Taylor 12. Josh Aloiai 13. Matt Eisenhuth 14. McQueen/Ma...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

I'd start with Twal and have Packer off the bench. I think Packer can have real impact coming on fresh leaving the toiling start of the game to Twal. ok, making the team: 1. lolo 2. nofo 3. masters 4. suli (milne if suli not fit) 5. MWZ 6. J.Rey 7. Brooks 8. Twal 9. Liddle 10. Matulino 11. Mcqueen ...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

I don't thihnk the HOOTH is a lock in pick, wouldn't surprise at all if he on the bench or maybe not in the 17. 2017 was a shocking season for the WestsTigers. However I don't think the Wests Tigers were really dominated in the forwards after Eisenhuth started at lock for the last 6 games of the yea...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

i reckon MWZ will start b4 fonua does..... yeah i cant agree...mwz is handy, but Fonua is potentially a game breaker. surely Cleary hasnt bought him from the uk not to start. fonua is definatly a handy back-up.....but didnt we want speed in our backline?...i thought MWZ was fitter and therefore fas...

Re: Cleary's - "back to the future" prediction ?!

I know it is a cliché but I think what you will find from Cleary's structure is a team that earns the right to play expansive footy. We will be a team that the other teams will know they have been in a tough match against but when in attacking positions on the field we will still have the ability t...

NRL - Wests Tigers predicted round 1 line-up

Ivan Cleary has begun to put his stamp on the roster out Concord way. Having lost three of the so-called 'big four' last year, Cleary had plenty of cap space with which to go to market and has bought up big in the shape of Josh Reyonlds, Russell Packer, Chris McQueen, Ben Matulino, Taane Milne and o...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

Liddle unquestionably at 9 for me for whole game (if 100% fit). This guy is going to make such a difference to our attack it is not funny. His defence is pretty good as well. McIlwrick in ISP in my opinion as he can't play 80 and with dickie knees ..... If Liddle has to go off - then Taylor or Mars...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

1. Tui (excellent fullback) 2. Nofo (our best winger) 3. Masters (fitter over the off season) 4. Suli (strong centre if injury free) 5. MWZ (possibly our fastest winger) 6. Josh (pick themselves) 7. Brooks (pick themselves) 8. Packer (pick themselves) 9. Liddle (great attacking hooker) 10. Mats (pic...
