Re: Leichhardt Oval

I don't know. But I know the Maggies have a rich history there and it was well out of use by the time I graced this green Earth. Just looked at the Wikipedia page, apparently it's biggest crowd was 21K back in 1978 against Parra. It's facilities are pretty aged apparently. Some of the older fellas ...

Re: One of our best wins EVER!

Awesome win and what really excites me is that there is still room for improvement. A couple of silly mistakes here and there, but when you consider we lost ET after about 20 minutes, I couldn't be happier. They really stepped up as a team this afternoon. I can't think of anyone who didn't contribute

Re: Leichhardt Oval

Pretty hard to top today as an overall experience. The atmosphere was electric. The crowd went off and road every play. The Tigers had a great win. Leichhardt is one of those special grounds that can generate a great atmosphere, but it is terrible in the wet. But, Homebush in its current set-up is a...

Re: Tedesco primed for a big one?

I think his running style and lines he runs are better suited to daytime footy. Was it the Saints or Parra game he lost his footing when in attack. Teams are also much more aware of him and keep a close guard on him

Re: Goal kicking

Do goal kickers ever improve substantially? They seem to either have it or not. My memory of Moses in the 20s is that he was a pretty good kicker, certainly better than he has been for a lot of this year. I've always assumed he had a niggling/underlying injury this year - niggling hami or something...

Re: Expected Crowd

I think we will get a decent crowd. A lot will depend on the morning weather. If the sun is out and the sky blue by 10-11am, I reckon we will top 15,000
If the sky stays grey all day - 12-13,000
I know a lot of people that are hanging out for this game

Cowboys have not won at Leichhardt since 2000.
Can't see that changing in 2016.

Re: Brooks out 3-5 weeks

Damn. Speedy recovery, Luke.
Given the length of time he is likely to be out, I think his replacement needs to be a genuine half/playmaker. Otherwise, we are just left with Mitch and he will be an easy target.
I don't think a stop-gap measure (e.g. Lawrence) can work over a 3-5 week period.

Re: Team List - NYC R17 v Penrith..

Really looking forward to this game. I hope as many Tigers fans as can get to the game early to see this one. The boys are sure gonna need everything to go their way. I'll probably have no voice by the time the big boys play - that might not be a bad thing though, certainly for the guy next to me.

the refs were fine. they are human and will never be 100% perfect. the tigers lost because of their terrible first half effort - missed tackles, dropped balls...

Re: The forward pass try.

It was a mile forward. I was there and the touchy on the eastern side was looking up at the replay. He had that look - stoney, cold, f$@k, I missed it look. That being said, the way we were playing in the first half we likely would have dropped it from the scrum and let them score in the next six. W...

Re: The Run Home

The three matches between the two byes are crucial. Lose all three, and we become a mathematical possibility of making the eight but no real hope. I'd be ecstatic if we could win 2. No one gives us a chance in Melbourne, but it is a good time to get them. It's post origin, we are coming off the bye ...

Re: Farah - Taylor rift still ruining the team

I have no problem with Robbie being 'rested' yesterday. When Ballin was in, you could get away that line to the media - Robbie played on Wednesday, and there is a short turn around for the Souths game. However, once Ballin was ruled out the line that Robbie was being 'rested' was never going to be s...
