Re: New coach.. Who should we target?

There would be heaps better options than Griffin. I get that people feel sorry for him, but don’t let that fool you into thinking he would be a solution to our problems. If we’re smart, we should come out of this with the cash to attract coaches like Seibold, Bennett and Maguire. I think you are ri...

Loving this Griffin interview. He is giving it to Gus without being rude.

TV GOLD.
Watching this I think Anthony Griffin would be a good coach for the Tigers.

He could re-build the team, problem is we probably have too many players he doesn't rate on big coin and long term deals.

Re: NRL agrees to review third-party agreements in a bid to end salary cap rorting

I have mentioned many times that TPA's are a Salary Cap rort and all should go except for the absolute genuine ones around that you can see (eg Billy Slater and Powerade TV ads) which would be decided purely as legitimate or not by the NRL. Most TPA's in reality have been worked out by the club and ...

Funding for Centre of Excellence

I have seen it reported (I think in the SMH) that funding is being given to 5 clubs for the building of centre of excellence facilities, being: Souths, Canterbury, Roosters, Cronulla and Newcastle. It is a worry that their is no mention of funding for the Wests Tigers. I hope it was an oversight and...

Re: Tedesco Nike Ad

Silly question perhaps ... would Nike's payment to Teddy be classed as a TPA ? No Club gear..Players are allowed to use their own intellectual property to earn whatever they can outside of the Salary Cap... This is the perfect example of how Non-Club affiliated Third Party Agreement should work.. T...

Re: Uncoached

My mail has Webster and his assistants coaching/running the team still. Cleary is there in an over-sight/mentoring capacity and hasnt done much with the current team. His focus is on building towards 'next year', so its clear he will fit in at Tigerland! Doesn't make any sense to me. Surely Clearly...

Re: Salary Cap Breach - Dogs and Raiders

I have said many times the NRL Salary Cap is a joke. I heard Nathan Brown interviewed the other day and he said their are two Salary Caps, the official one and the seemingly unlimited one that some clubs have that is inflated by Third Party Agreements. NRL need to sort out the Third Party Agreements...

Re: Official Team List vs Brisbane

Does anyone in the 17 kick goals? I think littlejohn is a fairly decent goal kicker Cant seem to remember him ever kicking for goal in any game I have seen him played. Looked up his stats their is no mention of him being a goal kicker. Good chance I would say Rankin might start somewhere on the wee...

Re: Can we remove the $$$ PLEASE

Another issue is does what it implies represent the truth? I thought one of the big gripes here was that we offered Tedesco more money but he still went elsewhere (TPA?) - it was never about the money so they declared. I am not aware of figures for Woods and Mitch. Does anyone seriously think that ...
