Re: To all the people...

That first game was a pretty good game actually. Yeah we lost the second half badly - and the game, but overall, wasn't as bad as some would have us believe. Only two poor halves this year, I'll take those figures for the rest of the year quite happily.

Re: POTTER OF GOLD

I remember at the time that I was soo freakin relieved that they chose Mick Potter. If you're successful in the ESL, there's a good chance you can pretty much replicate things here. I was stoked that Walters wasn't picked. Not many coaches can just jump straight into the NRL and be successful. Sheen...

Well spotted!

Re: The great James Tedesco contract debate

As much as i'm saddened to see him get injured, i think this latest injury will only help him stay at the Tigers. With a bit of a rep for getting injured i can't see other clubs throwing heaps of cash at him just yet. Since he's been an NRL squad member he's missed more games than he's played. Havi...

Re: Braith Anasta charged

So Anasta is looking at spending more time on the sideline than all the Souths players who hit our boys in the head constantly a couple weeks ago, more than DCE for kneeing Fulton in the head, etc etc etc. Gotta love the consistency of the judiciary! Freaking stupid rule this no shoulder cha...

Re: 8/10.. Awesome Start

You're dead right tony33. Perfect assessment. We often fall into a trap though, of losing against the bottom order teams. Hopefully that won't be the case again this year. Bring on the cows, we usually get a good result there - usually. Particularly in g/f's. :-)

Don't think we'd be complaining if we had scored rather than Manly. Toovs would have busted a boiler though!

hmmm.....maybe I saw that wrong, but I thought there was already two involved and he seemed to be flat footed and in there as well.

Re: Chris Lawrence

While we're on comparisons why don't you compare Gareth Widdop too, he dislocated his hip last season, was back in 3 months and suffered very little side affects. The difference there, and perhaps Conlon's as well, (not familiar with his injury) is that Widdop's hip popped straight back into place,...

Re: Your Wests Tigers Story and When you started supporting

I was born the day following the 1969 grand final victory. Grew up in the northern suburbs of Wollongong. Dad was from a pretty full on league playing family from Bega. His brother played for both the Bears and Manly and actually played for Australia on a couple of occasions. He's also the uncle of ...

I like Sims a lot, but really, forwards aren't on our most wanted or needed list now.

Re: Pick the Score

No idea as to the final score, but hopefully we can stay within 12 of them. I think when we won the gf in 05 we averaged around 24 per game. Would be nice to get that many again this week.

Re: Benji Marshall Blues to cut their losses

The best thing ever was seeing him on the sideline under Potters instructions. That brought about a whole lot of thinking I reckon. Thinking on Benjis behalf of him no longer being in control, and thinking from the young guys at the club when they understand who the boss is around the joint. Not a l...
Couldn't be more wrong. Collis never ever lived up to his potential at any time whatsoever. Lawrence played for Australia, until a freak injury turned him from a future NSW and current Australian rep to an average first grader. Sad how quickly people forget these things.
Absolutely ...

Re: Chris Lawrence

Im not saying that's not the reason, but Im saying he's not up to it anymore. He's not the first to be affected by injury. That;s the nature of the beast. Fact is, he's just not doing what the team needs. The supporters need more as well. It's not I don't like the guy! I just want a good centre - wh...

Got my first tigers jumper with Percy Knights 6 on it in 1975 brother. (Think it was 75) Must have been because I turned 6 then. Long term supporter. No - must have been 78.
