Re: The Ashes

Looking forward to the NY Test . Sydney mostly produces a pitch that has a little bit for everyone . I wonder with all the complains against the Melbourne one if they leave a bit more grass on it. Happy New year to all WTF’ ers. We went to the Terrigal fireworks. There was a mishap with the barge a...

Re: The Bench

If Grant is going then Aloiai maybe forced to play more Front row. I hope not as he has the speed and lateral movement to play 2nd Row . Not many bigger players have that, so it would be good to capitalise on it. Once Aloiai came back from injury he seemed take his game to a new level in the 2nd Row.

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

back row of Aloiai, McQueen, Eisenhuth for mine. Which looks big and strong.. Taylor to the bench to cover DH or backrow. Only problem is . If you have Taylor and Benji on the bench (with Two Props) it’s quite a light bench . A few good players will miss out on the. 17 at the start of the year. Poss...

Re: The Contenders: Centre

Milne & Suli should get the spots but it could be Fonua or Masters as well. You have four good options there for the 2018 centres. Milne Suli Fonua Masters Very hard to split them. I thought Masters and Suli did really well there as rookies in 2017 and In 2018 they’d be better. Milne’s form in the ...

Re: Pies : Where do you buy your favourite and what is it

Don’t know if it’s been said.. but T G Millner the home ground of Eastwood Rugby Club used to be known as having the best Pies of any Sydney sports ground . Apparently the club has sold the ground to build appartments so I’m not sure if the pie man will move further west when they do

Re: The Ashes

With the intensity and desire Smith had to win. Plus three fit fast bowlers that bowl in the 140’s .The Ashes was never in doubt.
We have also one the sledging/off field stuff , which in my books equates to a Test. So early in the NY it will be 6-0

Re: The Ashes

They have the hairs dryers out. If those monkeys over in WA have let water seep onto the pitch...and it’s unplayable .I think public hangings should be brought back. You'd think that on the eve on an Ashes series win that the ground staff would've done a decent job of covering the pitch  Unles...
