Yeah, every single tackle, a third player comes in, twists the ruck and then one of them lays down as long as possible. It's painful to watch and the ref lets it happen.

100% agree with this. Watching the replay, you couldn't say it was accidental. Blatant eye gouge and the bunker had plenty of time to review the footage. He should have been marched, but we weren't even awarded a penalty.

Personally, I don't see the point if making this change. Literally nothing else has changed with the club. It smells of someone in marketing having nothing else to do.

Can someone tell me why the NRL agreed to the rule that the players weren't allowed on the balcony? From what I can see, JTJ hasn't broken any of the quarantine rules that apply to everyone else. The QLD health website specifically says you can go out on your balcony as long as you stay away...

It's the same in defence. When a kick goes up, they just stand and watch rather than getting back to support in defence. To be honest, I think it's an effort thing and that's up to the players. But it's the job of the coach to get it out of them.

You have to ask if there was no 6 again rule, how many of today's set restarts would be called as penalties? There's no way the ref gives Parra 17 penalties in that game. But he pretty much did - 8 penalties and 9 set restarts. I reckon if he had to blow the whistle for all of them it would be...
