Hi guys just talking to a few friends about origin and the players that have been giving ago the last 6 or so years
and the players that have had the least talent but made the team and just wanted to know who you would vote for

For me its Steve Turner so many better wingers them him when he made the team i was shocked for me Fitzy would have been a better choice than him

off the top of my head i didn't rate Peter Wallace, trent waterhouse, Mcmanus and still don't rate White either.

I still argue with my mates over Weyman. I know he's tough but he irks me the most.

Josh Perry, Jason King, Jarrod Mullen, Beau Scott, Michael Ennis, Brent Kite, Justin Poore… I always thought the Dog Whisperer and Ben Cross had some incriminating evidence on someone to justify their starts

Don't know what it is with Manly players getting a walk up start...

Hit the nail on the head there Watto!

Ive only been watching Origin regularly since the late 90s but off the top of my head:

1\. Mark Hughes
2\. Steve Turner
3\. Beau Scott
4\. Terry Hill
5\. Anthony Quinn
6\. Mark Gasnier (5/8 2006 decider).
7\. Peter Wallace
8\. Josh Perry
9\. Michael Ennis
10\. Brent Kite
11\. Luke O'Donnell
12\. Willie Mason
13\. ??

14\. Kurt Gidley
15\. Brett White
16\. ??
17\. ??

I had trouble thinking of some 2nd rowers as thats generally where we have been strong.

We have picked some shockers over the years, some of the players mentioned, I think go well. I rate Trent Waterhouse highly, Luke O'donnell is also very good. Mason and Hill when selected, were worthyish selections

In recent times Tom Learoyd Lars, particuarly in 2009, he has improved, but with all the great backrowers we had, surely he was not the best option.
Below is my all time worst origin team Slightly further back than we were looking

1\. Phil Sigsworth
2\. Phil Dukes
3\. Phil Bailey
4\. Grahem Lyons
5 David Hall
6 Brad McKay (good player, but at five eight, we have never really picked a bad one)
7\. John Simon (we've never picked a shocker a half that i can see anyway)
13 Paul Merlo
12 Paul Field
11 Alan Wilson
10 Ryan O'Hara
9 Rex Wright
8 Michael Vella

a dozen beers were consumed picking this team (when we did it, not today) so we might have missed some

I know some people say it is an insult to be in a worst of origin, team, but I'd love to be in it!!

Ben Creagh fits the 2nd row spot perfectly if you ask me.

He really frustrates me as an origin player. He's played some blinders for club but just hasn't really stepped up for a full game imo. I don't know whether his ticker is as big as his frame is in a losing team.

Justin Poore is the same, only ever performs in a Red & White jersey…

Was it Raper who had his rubbish son in Origin? Or was that Scott Fulton? They both run into one belenge of crap for me so I can't rightly remember

Aaron Raper it was smeg. Got blisters in his backside for 80min and then the old man complained that it was insulting to his son not to play him. Had a real go at the coach (Tommy T if irc).
