Feel sorry for him, he deserves to go out on a better note.

Totally agree, hybrid.

jarryd hayne (jarrydhayne_1) @LoteTuqiri get well soon bro

Another nice sentiment from Hayne on Twitter - he's growing on me all the time.
Sooner or later, next year has to be this year - Ricksen

I think unfortunately it could well be his last game. There is a chance that a club will pick him up, and i hope they do.

As much as I feel sorry for him, if tonight is the end, but he has had a great career and Id swap with him and I reckon plenty of others would as well!

The thing that s*** me is that this doesn't mean we'll see any of our young awesome wingers next week.

1. Moltzen
2. Ryan
3. Ayshford
4. Lawrence
5. Utai

:(

I have no problem with that aspect of the line up. Beau knows best on the wing from what I've seen. Even then Sheens would pick Reddy I would think which is not good

Always welcome back at the tigers, dragons version of Wendell. This guy could really make a diffrence behind the scenes.

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/ ... 6419509019

WHEN Lote Tuqiri was whisked from Allianz Stadium last night, he had one broken arm and no contract. His NRL future was under a cloud.

But still there were things that mattered more.

"Lote's wife and two kids," Wests Tigers chief executive Stephen Humphreys told The Daily Telegraph when asked about what came next. "Lote is off to hospital with a bad break. We've already booked him in for surgery Sunday. His family are here tonight and our concern is looking after them. The rest comes later."

Tuqiri has once again left a season prematurely after breaking his left arm in a freak collision with teammate Adam Blair. Incredibly, a broken right arm ruled the winger out for much of last winter.

Taken from the field on a medicab in the first half, Tuqiri was driven to hospital by the Tigers doctor, Donald Kuah, with club officials saying, understandably, he was "too shattered" to front the media.

Asked what effect the injury would have on the 32-year-old dual international, who is yet to have come to terms, Humphreys continued: "We want Lote to stay a part of this club because he's been tremendous for us over the past three years, both on and off the field. My mind hasn't switched to all that yet but, obviously, with someone of his pedigree, there are salary expectations ... So we'll have to look at salary cap and a few other things and go from there.

"But, yes, we want Lote to remain a part of this club."

The other big question to emerge from Camp Tiger last night was can Aaron Woods bring the beard back to Origin? With only 362 days until our next interstate game it's a question worth asking.

Remembering that when the Blues broke Queensland's first stranglehold back in 1985, much could be credited to "Crusher" Cleal and a mane that made even Malcolm Douglas look metrosexual.

Woods, too, was everywhere for the Tigers. The big, bearded unit, time and again, tucking that Steeden under his arm and charging like carbon tax.
End of article.

If Lote isn't part of the playing roster humphreys seems to suggest he could e involved behind the scenes. I'd like to see Lote stay involved with our club if it's an off the field position.

I for one am glad Lote played for wests-tigers.

yes injuries have clouded his time here, and we have not seen him be a dominant force like he was in 2010.
we have no control over that.

there was a time when not many blokes wanted to come to wests-tigers, Lote did.
that in itself should tell us how the club has progressed in being attractive to marquee signing..

don't dwell on negatives.

look at the positive he bought, those great runs down sidelines, lethal combo with Chris lawrence etc.

All the best Lote, thanks for your time here.

Loved watching him play in 2010, a player cant help the injuries he gets, but i do think this could be the end of his career. If it is the end thanks for the memories & i hope you stay with the Tigers in some form of coaching.

Lote's a cless act and our club needs him in our culture. He suffered the usual form highs and lows in his time with us but his effort and committment could never be questioned. Surely his footy career is over now but I will have many fond memories of watching him play.

2010 was exceptional, after that nothing, but overall I think we got something out of the deal publicity wise and gate takings,so I hope Lote stays but in a non playing role,he is too big a risk for to much money to play again I feel.
All the best Lote, thanks for your effort and get well soon mate.

Thanks Lote.
Will never forget his first touch of the ball in Tigers colours, scoring a try against Manly in R1 Monday night footy two years ago.
