You know we will win

Post by Tommy Magpie » Wed 29 Aug, 2012 12:08 pm

Why?

1. We are unlikely to make the 8 so it is a nothing game. No pressure.
2. Leichhardt Oval
3. We are hot (vs. Dogs) and cold (vs. Roosters). We can be hot vs the good teams.
4. Gareth Ellis farewell
5. Players will be pumped after the dismal display last week
6. Timmy will use the win to take the pressure off
7. Storm may rest players

We will win this game.

And miracle of miracles, NZ get serious and pump the Raiders in NZ (unlikely but possible) and we make the 8.

We will win, but so will the Raiders and Broncos and we will all have flashbacks to 09 and think of all the games we should've won earlier in the season

The thing that is frustrating is that we shouldn't even be talking about this. Instead we should be talking about where abouts in the top 4 we will be. It's been said time and time again but this season is a massive failure considering the roster we have.

If they can't lift to keep their season alive , why will they lift for Leichardt,Gareth Ellis or hopefully Sheens last game as coach

That must be at the back of their minds as well

They will lift and win because it wont mean anything in terms of the 8.

Tommy I don't know if playing without a care in the world and things coming off can be called lifting for the occasion

Well technically wouldn't NZ be in the same boat? Nothing game, versing top 8 team.

We will SMASH them Tommy....

We have played the Storm 8 times at Leichhardt Oval and won 6 times.
We frustrate the Storm with our goal-line defence.
Adam Blair will play his best game all year.

The Raiders will get touched up by the Warriors playing their last game and the BLACK, GOLD & WHITE TIGERS will finish in 8th position...

Who's coming to Townsville with me for the 1st week of the Finals???

This. We will wonder where the team has been all season.

Although if we are no chance of making the 8, I would rather get smashed by 50 just so that someone might put some pressure on Sheens.

Have to miss that one live, but will definitely be there the following week when we knock out the Dogs.

If Brisbane lose this becomes the biggest game of our season - and of course we know how we fold under pressure.

Half of me hopes we don't win. If we miraculously scrape into the finals and maybe even win in Week 1, suddenly the season doesn't look as bad as it really is. All the pressure to make some hard decisions is gone and we can focus on a mediocre 2013.

How many times have we been utterly pathetic, not shown up, not played with heart or for the teammate, the jersey.....gotten flogged....and then come out the next week only for that halfhearted crap a week earlier inspires them onto a gutsy 110% effort.

Shame & embarrasment inspires them
Sheens inspires laziness, patheticness and gutlessness

Yeah and if we string together 5 wins and win the comp that'd be really annoying eh?

How about we just support the team whilst it is still alive and then, when the 2012 campaign is done and dusted we can start waving the pitchforks and setting light to the hay bales etc ... :sign:

EARNING something is oh so much more satisfying.
Working hard for something similarly.
Having it handed to you for a good brief effort is weak as P in my books
