For QLD i'm worried about who the next fullback will be when Slater retires

Doesn't worry me if GI comes back, his best is behind him. Still good, but nothing like at his best, how many times did he go missing in 2016.
Anything year older , another serious injury to a few others, and needs to get over a long time out of the game
I hope they pick him.

People thought the same about Billy Slater and he was reliant on speed in a way GI isn't. There's a fair chance he'll come back busted but I wouldn't write him off...

Big difference for Slater, he was still in really good form when he was injured, Gi was struggling in a lot of his games in 2016., just makes it harder to come back. He'l have some good games, but il be surprised if he is like he was a few years ago.

Can't believe that some think that Moses is even going to be a chance. Maloney or Gutherson or Reynolds, would have to fall over before that would happen, and even if they did I still think they would still overlook Moses.
Why not just mark a special line on the field for Qld to run straight over Moses and score?
At least The scorekeepers would have a tiring night.

If Nofo can't get into the team because of his bad defence, then how can Moses possibly make it into the squad???

He doesn't need to add anything.

All we want from our hooker is to give quick service to the halves so they have as much time as possible. And as long as he does his job in defence, and doesn't miss any tackles than that's all we need from our hooker.

And I think Peats fits that criteria, so we are better off showing loyalty and confidence towards Peats so he isn't under the pressure of retaining his spot every game and he and focus on the task at hand.

As long as we have two capable halves of controlling the game, getting the side to where they need to be on the park, and can set up scoring opportunities - Then Peats is all we need at hooker.

Its just not as simple as shovelling to Forwards and Halves. NRL Teams might get away with that as a game plan, but at SOO Level, you rarely get to excute your actual game plan. Everything is negotiable!

I agree Peats is somewhat lacking in some facets of his game, but Forwards need direction & quick PTB and it simply cant come from the Halves.

NSW will need 2 Specialist DH in their squad!

D.Cook is a outstanding hooker if he pressures for the first grade spot at Souths next year could be a danger to Peats if his form or injury come into play .But we have to start to build around past players as we all know you can’t win every game by chop & change which NSW has done for so long,

They are all full time 1st graders now, they seasoned hard and have all played big games .. now's the time for them to see what SOO is all about. There's a good blend of experience there to show these guys the ropes, we've got some big boppers, Cleary will kick goals, and both halves have good kicking games.

Also, I think J Liddle is a better hooker than Brailey. So if we are talking about hookers of the future. Liddle should be in the team.

Nah, sorry to say this but Brailey is well ahead of Liddle now. Liddle may have beat Brailey out for the NSW/Aust under 20's gig a year or two back, but Brailey has developed far more than Liddle has.

Unless Liddle puts on some upper body size, he won't be able to stand the week to week pounding he's going to receive playing in NRL. Not to mention that he has already had a shoulder op after playing two or three games for us.

No utility, that's why they pick 18 players and decide just before kick off (i think its 40 minutes before kick off) who will be 18th player .. Gutherson would be a the utility .. and Creighton is could be handy as well in the backline.

T. Trbojevic can play anywhere in the backline from 1 to 5
Gutherson can play anywhere from 1 to 7

Josh Addo-Carr won't to be far off being picked for NSW next season as well.
