Western Suburbs Magpies Intrust Super Premiership Coach Brett Hodgson has finalised his side to take on the Bulldogs today at ANZ Stadium.

Kickoff for the match is at 2:15pm AEDT with live coverage available via Fox League (Ch.502).

Hodgson has confirmed a strong side for the team's season opener with experienced names such as David Nofoaluma, Taane Milne, Mahe Fonua, Chris McQueen and Sauaso Sue all set to feature in the side.

The only change is that of Matt McIlwrick who is replaced at hooker by Braden Robson in jersey 18.

Luke Garner will captain the team from the back row.

All have been quite impressive..most pleasing is the defence on our line

Gamble and Garner the standouts...

Nofoaluma has been getting a lot of offloads away one Drinkwater dropped cold..

Milne is great carrying the ball but has been terrible under the high ball...

Drinkwater is a very good ISP level half...

Gamble looks very good. If not for Garner lifting penalty he was under the posts for 80 metre run. Garner (ex Manly) looks very promising. Drinkwater looks sharper than previous time with us. Sironen good value McQueen defense solid not much in attack, The bench big boppers look solid Ratu & Empere, Dogs lucky to be this close. We should win by 20!
