Post by bp tiger » Mon 09 Jul, 2012 5:35 pm

Just been on the panthers forum, theres mention that achurch is coming to the tigers. He was in the NYC with dwyer was he not and he was a handy player as well. he looks a big unit.
Any one heard anything about him.

He would be a great signing, he was the gun player in our nyc squad a few years ago and got poached by Cowboys than went to the Panthers. He would make a ideal bench front rower. A young big unit, just what we need

He played for the Magpies in 2011.
We lost him when Wests Tigers tried to shut us down.
We wear our heart on our sleeve.

Knew he played with the Magpies last season but the Head recruiter obviously wasn't impressed so Mitch had to go elsewhere, so if he returns to the Tigers how does this make Mr Head Recruiter's CV look?.

23 years old, 6"5 and 113kg. Big unit who I wouldn't mind back at the Tigers after he left following his NYC stint.

You lost him because he was one of the Magpies best players and Penrith saw some talent.

From what I have seen of his youtube highlights he looks like a really good player but my question is where would we put him in the starting lineup.

Watched him in a panthers game (A few weeks back I think) Looked lost and got rolled. Much like Dave Gower, Great Guy, Awesome Reserve Grader but IMHO nowhere near the calibre of the like of Moors...
I would think keeping Moors would be a better option. That being said, I'd also like to see Ava and Francis fit and given a go in Firsts before I would worry about recruiting Mitch.

I expect our back up front rowers will be Groat, Fotuakia, Lovett and feel BMM and Pettybourne will spend some time in the front row.
