Where I agree Joel is a strong experienced back rower I do not see him being much better than what we have now and you would like to think most of our back rowers are only going to get better where Thompson is probably just starting to wane
He might not be much better than what we have, but he is still better. If he would come at a reasonable price..you could partner him with Lawrence in the Backrow with ET at 13. Alioia is bigger though and has been doing some bruising runs on one edge, then get replaced by Lovette how continues the workrate.
Ivan "Billy Beane from Moneyball" Cleary!

With Tariq signing - I think that means Joel is on the move.
Where to? I don't know.

Sharks I reckon, they've been on the hunt for 2nd rowers and they love taking players off the Dragons almost as much as they love taking them off us.

The Tele claiming Thompson's future is still in doubt. I would think he'd be the best fit for our club of any player on the market.

Thompson, Aloiai & Marsters would be a lethal back row combination!

Thompson is underrated and is a very great player. He was a very good this year in a forward pack with Vaughan (should've been prop oty), Packer - NZ International, Frizell - Aus International, JDB one of the best locks in the game.

If we get Thompson, our squad would be very close to complete!

Hasn't Joel Thompson left St George and has already signed with Manly .. ?? Or are they talking about his new spot with Manly might be up in air .. ??

It's all up in the air, apparently. Maybe Moylan muddied those waters.
