Kasiano is on about half that salary, yet has double the impact in half the amount of minutes played.

So where do they get the money to buy the rest of the so called big 4? Surely halves n fullbacks are more important to the dog's than front rowers. Maybe buy him n the rest will follow for peanuts? I doubt it! The doggies have brown paper bags thats there only hope of replacing what is the worst spine in the comp
For a team with zero attack it would be comical to see them throw 1 million at a prop.

I'm a massive fan of Woods but I don't agree with paying any prop $1m a year.

Smart recruitment decision by the Bulldogs. They definitely don't need halves or outside backs.

Doesn't add up. 1 million for a meter eater? Get real. If they threw that money at Fifita I could understand, a guy who can be really destructive. Like Taumalolo. Woods couldn't damage a wet paper bag.

They pulled a similar stunt with Mortimer a few years ago and then landed Keating on the cheap.

That wont faze the new coach who knows that we need money spent elsewhere.

Your plan assumes gross stupidity on the part of this club.

I seriously doubt this rumour but if it does turn out to be true then we shouldn't compete.

I would pay to see Woods sign for Canterbury, only for them to replace Des with JT! Maybe I'm just a sadist.

Two seasons ago maybe - have you seen him recently.

If you had you would not be saying that.

I don't think the Dogs are that stupid, they have props coming out there backside, and backrowers are just as well stocked, like another poster said, they might be trying the Mortimer stunt again to get Moses or Tedesco. Either way we need to stop buggering around and appoint a coach, get him there and get contract negotiations sorted with our players and new players needed for 2018.
Go hard or go home

I doubt very much we would offer anywhere near 1m for Woods

There's plenty of other examples. Coen Hess is on fire, on a rookie contract. JWH is on half of what Woodsy wants (estimated by Phil Rothfield, not me) and he has literally rolled over Woods in previous games against us.

Isolated examples don't do justice to the fact that $1M is a rip off for a prop. If he can get it at the Dogs, good luck to him.
