He is still better than any of the forwards we have at the moment.
You seem to forget that.
No he’s not
Interesting.
Name one of our forwards that you think are better?
All of them as i think Merrin is useless

Just my opinion

Not a shot at your opinion

Merrin was kicked off the 'Riff bus today and is back at the airport catching a plane to Leeds...

Gus and Cleary are a laughing stock...

Trent Merrin on the outer. Looking for a super League deal.
Why can't we make a play for him?? So frustrating.
Because he’s oversized lacks mobility and can’t move laterally to make a tackle. Penrith I now hate but they are extremely well run.
They will retain all their young players as Merrin was on big money. In the coming 2 seasons they will offload Maloney and Tamou and have their home grown team.

Not sure that Walker would want to work under Maguire again after his time at Souths when he was (as claimed by his lawyer) "treated like a piece of meat" and "spat out".
You will find Madge was by his side when he OD’d. Souths is and has been completely run by Richo.

Because he is old, fat and slow and at the wrong end of his career after a poor season? Exactly the type of signing the Tigers would have made in the past and an encouraging sign that there was no link to him from the Tigers this year.

Lawrence
Twal
Matterson
Garner
Matulino
Packer would be on par but adds leadership.
Even the Huth and Aloiai would be better money wise.

Any chance Walker would involve a swap for Fonua?
I struggle to see Sea Eagles release him with out a replacement, Suli will be there only specialist centre?

Only in your estimation - Has a backside as big as Sydney heads.

He might have been once - but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you haven't seen him play in awhile.

We did make a play for Merrin. But Gus was only willing to pay 250k of his contract. We didn't budge on our offer

Knowing Des he’s want a slow hard working plodding front rower like Eiso to cover Taupau leaving.

The more I think about it the more I think that Walker, an experienced centre, with speed is what our backline seriously needs.
I’d rather wighton....walker has baggage and hasn’t performed the past 2-3yrs

He got centre of the year last season. Admittedly quieter this season when he was either injured of playing 5/8.

If Walker is true we have signed Matterson and Walker for our two glaring areas of weakness edge forward and centre.
Also assuming Musgrove is correct and Mikalele lives up to the hype we have replaced the lost front row depth in Grant and Sue.

If we can upgrade ET at lock with Mau, Hess etc this team is miles ahead of last year.

Walker would be a great pick up for us and seems feasible.

Absolutely. Musgrove, Matterson, Walker would be great additions and if we could grab Mau as well we'd be heading in the right direction.

I think when Manly signed Walker they were hoping for a Superstar to fill Jamie Lyon’s spot. Walker isn’t as good as Lyon but still a good NRL level centre. He wasn’t loved by Manly fans. I hope he joins the Tigers on mid range $. He would be a good pick up.
in Ivan we distrust
