Does anyone think Oates will be as good in the second row as he is on the wing?
he would be so much better than we have, also he would be even better after 6 months in the backrow.

Had a conversation with Anthony Griffen when he first came to Penrith about Oates. His words were along the lines of lovely kid but just doesn't have the motor to play in the backrow. That was a couple of years ago now so who knows.

That's what I'm thinking.
Solid winger but doesn't look like he quite has the guts for second row but he's determined to play there...
With his work ethic, you'd assume he'd try his best.

Solid winger, great finisher. Not sure about 2nd row, I think he'd give it a red hot crack.
If we were looking for a winger.. Not sure we are id sign him.

Has a perfect frame for a winger eh..
Probably not for the second row, which to me Simon dwyer was the perfect body shape.

Oates in the back row would at the very least be an upgrade on McQueen Rochow etc.

Not the silliest idea
Its an opinion!

?? He has a body of a second rower. Similar to Simon Dwyer's. Actually there both 192 cm. Corey is 105kgs. Simon it says in wiki was 91 lol but it was around 101-105... So basically the same. Oates after one preseason would go great in the 2nd row.

Numbers don't lie eh...
Frames are very different.

I like Oates. Whereever he ends up, the club will be lucky to have him.

Salary cap is limited. We dont need a winger.

Oates is a great player but we have other priorities.

We need a centre, a top class one.
Definitely, with the idea to eventually move Marsters to 2nd row where he could solve another problem for us.

Did you watch Esan in lower grades very lazy in own 50 but came alive when in opposition 50 did not do enough hard work loved to go for the try but not tackle

We are in desperate need of a forward who can actually bend the line and isn't a plodder.

The Mole reporting Roosters are having trouble with TPA's for Angus Crichtons contract deal may fall over Souths not interested apparently could be back on the market.

Yet these days all he does is hitups in our end, and has very little in the opposition 20.

Very annoying the way he runs out of dummy half in our own 20 and gains little to no metres at all. Don't get me wrong, he's a great player and a future star but really needs to cut that out of his game and only go for effective runs.

Not overly enamoured with Esan. Solid but doesn't really look likely to break the line. We definitely need a sharp and elusive centre to complement the way Esan plays.

Are there any good young centres that are sharp and elusive to complement the way Esan plays.
