:sign:

I know there was already a post before on Latrell and Connor watson, but felt like this deserved a little discussion, especially since this is new.

Appears he's unhappy with constantly getting picked over other players and would be huge at fullback (re: game breakers).

Tui could easily move back to wing, where he started his nrl career, and would give the tigers some INSANE depth, which i feel like is somewhere we've struggled with, spare 5/8, fullback, halfback. not many teams could boast that sort of utility (maybe parra with king gutho)

This story was originally discussed on Triple m, with some people in the know mentioning it, although i didn't listen to the original story, maybe someone on here did?

Get on that bus Connor!!

Doubt Roosters will let anyone go, Nick will find a way to "restructure" the contracts.

Firstly, Tui isn't playing anywhere besides Fullback and Five-eight. Ivan has promised him this and Tui has stated that he dislikes playing in these other positions.

Secondly, Connor Watson will not leave the Roosters unless he's offered a starting spot in either of those two previously mentioned positions.

Thirdly, the Roosters will not release Watson while he still has a contract with them.

His selection is not warranted over the Chooks already have there. He's talking big if he thinks that he deserves to start over anyone in the Chooks backline.

That said, he's a talented kid and he's worth having on, but he's no chance of that here either. May end up at Newcastle or even St. George.

Yea great idea - sign Lolo to play 5/8 this year and Full back for the following two years.

Then lets move him to the wing (a position he hates) to really rack him off ....

All for a player who is no better (imo a lot worse) - great idea.

If Watson were to end up here, he wouldn't be playing anywhere except for the utility spot on the bench. He would then be able to come on and provide impact from a range of positions, and would provide cover and depth.

From what I've seen so far, he will have to earn his way into the starting side. I think having Watson as a utility, or anyone else similar to him is really good and should provide good depth that we've never had before.

Agree. Tui will be the better player in the long run. No need to even consider Watson now

We need for some of the NRL talent to be spread to all clubs.

I hope Newcastle are able to sign players like Watson and a few Canterbury players to boast their ranks.

NRL can not ignore the Newcastle area.

the source of this article is usually unreliable but I can confirm that they are right on this one. Watson has requested a release to the Tigers

Doesn't mean squat to anything really and more likely a power play by his manager for $$ or new deal

You're joking! What are we hoping to do with him?! Why does he want to come here?! Are the Roosters prepared to release him?! What about Tui?! What's going on?! This doesn't make any sense! I'm so confused!
