I did not mean to stir the pot and I also think he is a very solid player, I just don't rate him as a game breaker and that was the impression a lot of people were giving me, that they thought he was the missing link. I would certainly be happy to have him and he would be the first outside back picked most weeks but I will not be upset if we miss his signature also.

Iam still hoping there is a quality fire sale signing in the melting pot

Stay away from the Morris brothers at Canterbury. There are cheaper and better options available through the likes of Montoya, Kenner, Lee, Smith etc.

Klemmar and Jackson are the only two from the dogs I want.

He has hype because he is a good player in a position we are extremely weak in. Simple.
If you had never heard of him you would be forgiven for thinking he had played Origin with this amount of hype.

I agree with you. A solid first grader. I think we need someone like JAC.

Tbh I wouldn't even take Klemmer, he really doesn't offer much besides a big body in the front Row. We have our front row sorted and with good depth. Jackson would be perfect on the other hand.

At the Bulldogs, he scored 23 tries in 25 games. He was their finisher, and provides immense aerial presence, speed and try-scoring abilities. He was recently selected for the Wallabies and is one of the Force's top players.

IMO, his signing along with a bench prop completes our 2018 team. He is vital.
Signing a winger is not vital at all.
It is when you've got MWZ and Naiqama as contenders for your starting wing spot. Every great team has great wingers.
How's Naiqama a contender when he won't even be here? And MWZ will be a depth player in 2018.
I gotta ask the question too.. In which way is this kid "vital" for our team? I think we will be just fine with or without him. He's not a game changer

Latest rumour from today, from 'Wackos Whispers' on twitter, is that Curtis Rona may be coming back to NRL and coming to the Eels...

Wouldn't be surprised if it was just clickbait.

He is vital because the majority of our outside backs aren't very tall and have a power game. We need someone tall and pacey to complete our backline. Either him or Brett Morris at the right price would be good.

Pretty funny really, when the level of talent can't sustain 5 Australian teams now, so that should be a roaring success.

Excuse me Mr Forrest, great idea you have there sir. What if we told you that we can already hook you up with this 'rogue Union comp', already established over a hundred years ago.

What better revenge on Union to have young Mr Rona come and play in this 'rogue Union comp' and really stick it up the establishment. Just sign here young Curtis... :D

Well if Rona has signed a letter of intent as suggested there's now no reason why he wouldnt be on the bus, unless of course he's changed his mind possibly why we have kept 2 spots open as confirmed in the Q & A session this week.
