Should we try get Benji back?

Yes - It would be like the second coming of our Messiah!
No way - Bringing back Benji is a step backwards. We need new direction, new blood.

at least we can give one of our greatest players a great farewell, just wish robbie had been given the chance. i know we all can not have what is nice in sport, but it goes along way for the history of ur club. welcome home BENJI.

This is a smart move buy the club,to many getting there knickers in a knot about Benji being a starter this will not be the case ...this is a big picture signing .IMO moving towards season 2018 there is already a buzz amongst fans that the club is certainly moving in a positive vain, bringing back the biggest legend the club has produced to play out his career is a massive coup by the club .Benji is not busted he is fit and playing well ..matured and will be looked upon by the younger crop of players with respect ,the corporates will want him around ..if the amount of message content I am receiving from family and friends the club certainly has made a hugely positive decision here..Welcombe home Benji :master:

Obviously Yossarian has some good contacts. This went from rumour to fact in a few days.

Nice. Mentioned it months ago that it was on the cards. He deserves to finish his career at the club he loves.

Looking forward to seeing Benji back in Wests Tigers colours for one final year. He would have to be the greatest Wests Tigers player.

Would like, one last time, to see Benji kick a match winning field goal for wests tigers.
Basil, our rescue dog, is wondering when wests tigers will win 25 - 18 :D

Not thrilled about this, as I think he could go back to old habits.
As long as he brings his Broncos work ethic and humility with him and he plays most of the year in ISP then I'll be happy.

Just when Lawrence thought he could possibly be the outright highest ever tryscorer for the club with one more try!

This is a very smart move by the club. Sponsors and fans will be getting very excited about this. I would imagine this is more a strategic move for off field reasons rather than his on field performance. This will be very good for the club.

Marshall won't be putting pressure on Brooks.

Gamble will be putting pressure on Marshall and Reynolds.
So much this.
Yes, there is a big difference between QLD cup and NRL . . . . but I really see Gamble as a genuine 7 in our NRL team much sooner than later.
Tyson Gamble just got dealt pocket aces with Benji coming back to us. Benji will be the conduit that launches this kid's NRL career.
They have recent and current playing history together. Benji has spoken very highly of Gamble.
When Ivan and Benji have their chats about our halves, who do you think Benji will lean towards . . . Gamble or Brooks ?
Lots of positives in this news. Welcome back !

Feeling slightly torn about this. A great fan of Benji but had moved on from those days. If it was an off the field role great but as a player..... hope he goes well and then there would be no better way to end his career.
RF will be knocking on the door soon!!
Won't matter how much he knocks, rings or taps, he won't be getting invited in.

Happy to see Benji back. Will certainly help with our depth. Probably didn't use up much of our cap space as well.

I was against the idea of signing Benji at first when someone started a thread about it recently, but just the other day I was watching the hour long highlights of him scoring tries on Fox and got very sentimental, remembering what a brilliant player he was, but also sad that he wasn't wearing our colours anymore. So for me the timing of this news couldn't be better!

I'm sure he will be a positive for the club in some way, either on the field as a player or off it as a mentor to the younger guys, but certainly in marketing and PR because no other name in Rugby League does it quite like Benji Marshall - welcome home mate 😊

Mmmm. Good for alot of reasons. Could be counter productive in some ways. Great for marketing, not sure about the leadership and mentoring people to be calm and thinking about repeat sets style footy. He always wants to score every play and we Don t need that.
