I can also remember another bloke called Gary Schofield who also was a pom and played in the centres when he first went to the tigers. If this bloke is half as good as him I would take him in a heartbeat.
I was thinking the same thing about his time at Wests. The black pearl got the headlines, but Schofield was the real class
Schofield and Hanley are arguably two of the best pommie players ever, and not just because they pulled on the black, white and gold.

Haven't seen their like in the English backline since IMO. Those days included the likes of Andy Gregory, Jonathan Davies, Gary Connolly, Jason Robinson, Offiah, Shaun Edwards... quality footballers.

I'll try again. Any news of a possible offer for the aforementioned English centre?

I never really thought signing another centre would be our best bet. I always thought a new winger was necessary. I thought our best bet was to find a new winger to replace Noffa who can defend, switch out Naiqama for Fonua, and keep Marsters as the other centre and MWZ on the other wing and Thompon and Tui can battle for fullback.

Do we have to wait until the end of 2018 before signing him?

Yes, very funny - had to chuckle.

Schofield and Hanley were two of my favourites. This young guy they're chasing has a touch of the "Schofields" about him.

He said his dream was always to play in the NRL and if any club offered him a contract from the NRL he would take it even if another club from the Super League offered him more money. So I would say we might just have him.
