To be fair Sirro played the fringe we went to ad nauseum and was running at a halfback. Blair was playing up the guts against props and we didn't go there that often in his first stint

Blair was fine tonight.

That bias must be heavy, you've been carrying it a while

I guess I've just come to expect a bit more from a representative forward who was signed to lead our pack.

He never was that player though.

I thought the same but looking at old Storm games he was the guy with the occasional big hit, the wrestler and the 3rd & 4th tackle spark. Never a leader

I thought he had a great game

If you watch his work in the ruck , and the way he always gets a quick play the ball when he runs it , you will understand why Blair is a great player and why potter is keeping him

Perhaps, but my view of Blair is lazy and ineffective in attack and below average in defense.

I wouldn't have him in my 17 next year, no way.

Disagree, Blair did his job and pretty effective. 6 runs for 60 metres.. 10 metres a run ill take that any day of the week.

We played a good game of football. Weren't good enough and haven't been all year.

A front rower running the ball 6 times is inexcusable.

Stats only tell part of the story. Whilst I admit the miss on Luke was not good, we had been penalised out of the game by then and were well and truly tired, and on the back foot.

I challenge you to have another look at this game, along with the preceding few and you will see that generally we are only dominated when Blair is interchanged.

Thats how I see it. Must be a pleasure for Farah to finally have a forward who can get quick play the balls.

Blairs little 1 percenters are great, kick pressure, fast play the balls etc. I do wish we could benefit more from quick play the balls with more runs(6 just isn't enough) but hopefully our young forwards can learn from these effort areas and enhance their own games.

He was poor and those stats say it all. He missed a crucial one on one on Issac Luke. He is supposed to be the figurehead of the forwards. We could sign someone to do that job on half the money.

He is not good enough!

I think Sironen ran the other way, creating a massive hole for Luke to run into in that instance, these things happen sometimes. Can you recall any more missed tackles. I can recall him winning the wrestle and slowing down the play the ball better than anyone else on the field for us.

I couldn't stand him at one stage after he joined us, but I can see he is a contributor and he tries, and I can live with him being in the side. Not his fault for the money he's on.

You will also notice that teams never kick off or drop out to him ..... They don't want to have tackle him , he is very hard

They also avoid him in defence , they know he is a master if the wrestle and locks the player up well

All the criticism of Blair has made be watch him closer , the closer I watch the more I realize he is an exceptionally intelligent and skilled player ,

The blokes a prop, all he has to do is tuck it under his wing and run it up.
You can't defend the bloke when 19 year old Sironen, 21 year old Buchanan and 22 year old Seumanafagai put him on show and out play him every week.
Mate, harsh,

Wasnt the coaches game plan to pass through the forwards???

Everyone hammers him, but from what I have gathered all year, the coaches are happy because he follows their instructions!!!

The type of player you want as a coach, although we are not educated as supporters. It makes this hard to distinguish.

I have said this before in other threads, since he has moved to prop he has gone from playing like a bench player for State Cup to a $150K 1st Grader. Pity we pay him $500k.
He is also returning to Teddy Blair status with his missed tackles that he led the comp in earlier this year!
I really hope Potter can find the solution with him, I think a decent defensive coach and put on 10kg on a diet of Crispy Cream Dougnuts may be the go!
Arise Sir Waste Anasta, Tool of the highest order!
