Unread post by tigsta » Thu 02 Jan, 2014 7:01 pm

Can anyone here direct me to where I can get further info on the nines comp?

Q1. Is it being televised? And on what Chanel ?

Q2. Rules? Where can you get info from. How is going to work.

I have been on nrl website and all it has is the schedule.

Foxsports are televising it

Rules I think 9 minute halves 9 per team

Conversions are done by field goal

not sure if tries are worth more under post like the world sevens

I'm interested to see how Freddy will go at 42. Nine minute halves so he might be up for it.
I swing like hell but know full well that I won't win the fight, but big man I'm the beta male that's gonna ruin your night...

I'd honestly prefer Freddy over Anasta at 42 at NRL level and I'm not kidding

Fittler says he's gonna play on the wing
I kind of want someone like Vatuvei or another wrecking ball style winger to run right at him
Not to injure him or anything
Just give him a good scare as a 41 year old

I've said for months that the whole thing is a joke - a bit of pre-season hit and giggle which no serious NRL contender is going to let its important players get anywhere near, or at least not take any risk in. Now Fittler's coming back for it I think I have my confirmation. In fact, I've made a little ranking of the least important sporting events:
1) Beach soccer.
2) Mixed doubles tennis.
3) Nine-a-side rugby league.
4) The current SCG test.
5) Golf.
