Live game thread: Souths V Tigers

Post by willow » Fri 13 Jun, 2014 7:33 pm

Feeling a little nervous about tonight. On one hand Souths outside backs look ordinary, but the forward pack boasts plenty of size, plus Isaac Luke will run all night and potentially causes massive problems for us if we're not switched on and aiming up in defence.

Hopefully the mobile bench Potter has gone with can get the job done. We need to complete our sets well tonight if we're to be a chance.

Agree with willow, if we are any chance we gotta hold onto the ball, and force some mistakes from Souths. Need a big one from Brooks. He needs to use that speed around the tired forwards at the arse end of the game. Go TIGERS!!

Watching on channel 9..

Johns should really stop using his middle finger on the touch screen - he has given me the finger at least 4 times.

I think we're really going to miss Farah.

Apparently the grass is dry and not dewey as expected. Joey and Finchy reckon it will suit us more than Souths. Fingers crossed.

Johns changed his tip based on the pitch not having much dew.

They reckon that it will favor the tigers as it is dry and should allow fast play.

We will see.

Hopefully being captain will make Anasta fire up and he can get good ball to the wing.

Hope Kapow owns Burgess tonight! Would feel more confident of this happening if Gavet was by his side.

If Brooks and Tedesco are as good as we all hope they are then this is the game for them to show that they can run the show without Daddy Farah. If they are the classy future rep players they're supposed to be then we should win here. I think Sironen is a big in for us. I think he's going to carve.

Bloody hell. Taupau has lost the ball on the first tackle. Big test here.
