Our halves tonight

Unread post by fergiefurr » Sat 28 Jun, 2014 9:59 pm

For the first time this year they seemed to have a roving commission. All year it's been braith on the right and brooks on the left. They swapped a lot tonight and they actually passed to each other a bit which opened both sides up.

It seemed to really suit braith who set up Richards try on the left and kicked the field goal from that side too.

Hopefully with a bit more freedom we will see the teams attack flow towards the end of the year.

Potter thought the time was right to make adjustments to the backline. The centres swapped side as well, until injuries happened
Ivan "Billy Beane from Moneyball" Cleary!

Potter changed our game plan/direction for this game, as he alluded to earlier this week. A shame that injuries ruined the chance for the three quarters to be utilised though.

Brooks has progressed really well this year, so much so that I was hoping that he was ready to handle adversity in a game such as tonight. Glad that Anasta was there and able to take control things as the pressure ramped up.

Yep. Massive change in structure in the backline and it really seemed to work. well. Even with the massive injury toll the halves flourished with the different structure.
On the bus or under it!
Your choice.

It was good to see and about damn time. Our left edge looked a lot more threatening with Simona too until it was lights out for him. Hopefully we stick at it.
