2015 heritage jersey

Post by Bones » Fri 03 Oct, 2014 7:47 am

Just having a look on twitter (i know how much some people here love twitter) and Mayer has said the 2015 heritage jersey will be based on the 2005 jersey. I think it's a good move.

I dont think the jersey is that great but it embraces Wests Tigers history and im sure everyone will be happy to relive that year. Might go watch the season highlights dvd now!

Why can't our heritage jersey just stay the same? We have no iconic design to identify with.

Look at Souths and St. George. Everyone knows when they are looking at their jerseys. The red & green and Red V are synonymous with their brand.

Why can't we maintain one design? People will still buy the jerseys. Having six thousand different designs over the last 15 years does nothing to ease this identity crisis the club seems to have.
"This club means a lot to me and I really love this club, I love playing here, I love playing with all of the boys, it's what I've known for pretty much all of my life and I'm happy to be here." - Luke Brooks.

So 16 seasons in and we're not gonna see a Balmain or Western Suburbs jersey? They're finally getting it.

Looks more 2006 than 2005.
