Well done Kevin Naiqama

Unread post by weststigers » Mon 16 Mar, 2015 9:05 pm

Special mention to Kevvy.

He was peppered with bombs and Nabuli heaping pressure on him all game and he was really solid.

A dropped ball there in the end, but he stayed strong when it mattered.

Good onya Kev

He will be our winger next year , if we don't sign Pat Richards
It depends who you talk to on this Forum, if you are Optimistic? it's because your delusional and need a reality check. If you are Pessimistic? Your accused of being a negative Nancy and to go and follow another Club.

Another very solid game tonight. Nofo will have to work for his spot.

He is a great buy for us and is getting better and better with each game. I always thought he had the goods, he just needed the chance at regular first grade with the right team. WT are obviously the right fit for him - good times ahead :D

Lawrence to the pigs and Noffa or Kev to get his centre jersey imo. Probably Kev.

Some of those bombs he took were outstanding. Great in D and runs well. Just one silly mistake. He was great tonight

A guy I work with played in the juniors with Kev and said he was a gun fullback earlier in his career, pretty handy centre too. Reminds me a bit of Michael Jennings in some aspects.

Apart from one brain rush he played a great game. Very early but he has exceeded my expectations.

He got peppered tonight and was outstanding.

Good problem to have. Lawrence wasn't bad tonight, but geez it'd be tempting to push a case for a back five of
1. Tedesco
2. Nofoaluma
3. Simona
4. Naiqama
5. Richards

Lawrence may very well be pushed to the backrow.

Lawrence is NOT a back rower.

Why would you weaken the back row?

Why would you move him when he played ok.
Noffa is not a centre either. If he can't hold off Kev - then drop him!

Nofoaluma played centre all the way up to first grade. Naiqama also has played bulk centre. Lawrence plays like a backrower one wider than usual. I'm not saying move him to starting backrow, I'm saying move him to that mix.

Take your point.

I'm saying if you are moving him from centre - move him out to another team.

playing centre in lower grades is not NRL or Australia.

I'd be giving him 3-4 weeks more yet.

Think the point is that Lawrence couldnt hold off Noffa...

Chris had a decent game, kudos to him, though he offers a very basic centre role, where Noffa has x-factor about him and could at the very least go head to head with Lawrence, as could Kev, with alot more upside IMO.

I thought Nofo was a fullback and then got replaced by Teddy when he came into 20's. Nofo then pushed to centre/wing?

Bonus points for Naiquama considering Nabuli is about a foot taller than him, and that's including his haircut.

I thought his size and dodgy under high ball showed why not a first grader. Straight swap for nofo.
