Wests Tigers NRL Coach Jason Taylor and captain Robbie Farah spoke to the media following the Club's Round 3 match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

While disappointed with the scoreline and result, Taylor and Farah said they were pleased with the effort and resilience shown throughout the afternoon, and that there were plenty of signs to take out of the match heading into next week's clash against the Bulldogs.

"We were disappointed with how we played, but the fact that we hung in there like we did was encouraging," said Taylor. "We just didn't take advantage of the chances that we had today. We made it harder on ourselves than it needed to be today.

"I thought we showed a lot of grit today. That was pleasing for me."

Farah emphasised Taylor's comments, saying that the effort was certainly there all game.

"Effort, good. Execution, poor," he reflected after the match.

"We don't want to be close to the benchmark. We want to be up there with them and we'll work hard to get there. But I know there's nothing out there that we can't fix.

"I know we're not too far off."
