Well it's no surprise that our handling really killed us today. Can't fault the effort as most of these stats reflect:

2. Naiqama - 119 metres in attack, 5 tackles, 3 missed tackles, 1 error

3. Simona - 71 metres in attack, 10 tackles, 2 missed tackles

4. Lawrence - 84 metres in attack, 13 tackles, 2 missed tackles, 2 errors

5. Richards - 81 metres in attack, 4 tackles, 2 errors

6. Moses - 25 metres in attack, 16 tackles, 1 missed tackle, 2 errors

7. Brooks - 23 metres in attack, 5 tackles, 5 missed tackles, 2 errors

8. Woods - 223 metres in attack, 33 tackles, 1 missed tackle, 2 offloads, 6 tackle breaks

9. Farah - 57 metres in attack, 57 tackles, 3 missed tackles, 1 error

10. Galloway - 125 metres in attack, 28 tackles, 2 missed tackles, 1 error

11. Sironen - 61 metres in attack, 13 tackles, 2 errors

12. Sue - 119 metres in attack, 44 tackles, 3 offloads

13. Taupau - 108 metres in attack, 40 tackles, 3 missed tackles, 5 tackle breaks, 1 error

14. Halatau - 43 metres in attack, 18 tackles

15. Seumanufagai - 69 metres in attack, 28 tackles

17. Santi - 18 metres in attack, 13 tackles, 1 error

That alone is why we lost. Unfortunately we have had a couple of these games early in the season. You can see the structures Taylor has in place are effective, we just need to execute and the results will come our way.

Aaron Woods stands out though , unbelievable really and some want to whinge about his hair
It depends who you talk to on this Forum, if you are Optimistic? it's because your delusional and need a reality check. If you are Pessimistic? Your accused of being a negative Nancy and to go and follow another Club.

Woods, keithy, Tapau & sue = fantastic stats/effort. I'm sure Siro would've been up there too if he didn't go off injured.

I thought Ava & Buchanan also had some strong carries but didn't get as many minutes. We really missed lodge off the bench, there's another 100 metres. Don't know if having both halatau & santi on the bench is the right option. I think one of their spots should be taken by another impact player, I.e. Liolevave, Funaki or Akoula.

Our pack is at the very least holding their own each week. We just need our halves to take advantage of this & stop dropping the damn ball. Yeh brooks & Moses have great potential but they're not backing themselves. Really hoping they have a break-out game early in the season.

Brooks 20 metres, 50% missed tackles 5/10, and 2 errors.

No one is expecting miricles but that is very poor. He also threw some passes which led to errors and kicking game was non existent.

The halves have been horrible since round one, let not try and sugar coat it. Today a good halve would have created havoc on the back of the yards our pack was gaining in the first 30 minutes, but they failed to create even half a chance. At one stage we had a two man over lap and Brooks decided to send another forward on yet another hit up. I hope and pray both Brooks and Moses live up to their hype, but at present they are way off the pace. Taylor has to either stick with them and right off 2015, or make a change and send one or two of them back to state cup. Its a very hard call and I am glad I do not have to make the call. Two from, three things are still okay, but things could get nasty over the next months or two because we have zero attack except for Teddy

Our execution needs to improve fast. The Dogs won't give us much on Friday night and we can't afford to turn the ball over to their pack like we did to Souths today. It could get very ugly with the short turnaround.

Overall i think there are more positives than negatives and felt we matched souths in most departments except our halves.Hopefully Brooks and Moses will develop into a great combination but Adam Reynolds well weighted kicking was the difference in this game.
