I know this is a big if , but I reckon if Patty kicks the goal to lead 24-0 we win

Doesn't seem much but overcoming a 5 try barrier is tough mentally

Would you have respect for a pack full of unseasoned first graders? You got to earn respect, and half our pack haven't earned diddly squat.

We'll never know Happy. I'am always a little bit surprised when Patty misses. He is so good with his kicking, that i expect him to slot them in each and every time. Unrealistic i know. :o

Seems true enough, we are a mentally brittle team.
See an interview with Gus Gould a few years ago, he would never let his players put their hands on their heads or show the opposition that any player was worn out.
They had to show that they were mentally strong all through the game.

We didn't respect the raiders enough. A lot of people are bagging them saying they're bottom table team and maybe they are, but i think we believed our own hype too much and thought this was going to be a walk in the park. Only problem after our short early stroll in the park the raiders ran us down quite easily.

i think Robbie is our problem , to much forward running when we need the backs to work their skills
we had that big lead last week , using the backs then Robbie takes over trying to run up the centre
with no good results, this happens each week
west to win

It was noted earlier in the season, I think by Sterling, the challenge for the young halves would be learning to close out games.

Given that, they're playing as expected.

Better than expected for mine really.

Any expectations we'll be the 'new Manly' before the seasons out is likely to lead to some serious disappointment.

The patches where they are playing well, they're great to watch.

Defence closes out games. It isnt our halves fault.

I agree Milkster, but remember it is a team effort and Brooks missed some important tackles..

For a great defensive team to be successful "everybody has to put their body on the line"...

And yes I know they will learn...just my opinion.....
You may see me struggle...but you will never see me quit... :D

Brooks should never be left defending one on one - he's supposed to have a shadow.
Same with every other teams smaller playmakers.
He only missed one bad one and that was when he was left stranded and Canberra took advantage - I'd be blaming his minder.
